Lithuania is actually a pretty fun team to watch. I recommend checking out some of these games if they are online. Should be on ESPN3, but not sure.
I never understood the Donuts nickname and why it stuck. I mean, I see the Donatas/Donuts similarity... But Donuts, the hell kind of name is that?
He barely played with them last year and again this year isn't on pace to be a starter, I think he'll be fine. As of right now Paulius Jankūnas is set to be the starter at PF and Jonas Valančiūnas is obviously the starter at C. We'll see if that changes.
Obviously? They barely played him last time even though the starter (I can't even remember his name) was pretty old and awful. The coach seems like a pretty crusty guy (he was the same one who benched Yao years and years ago).
Yeah, I guess you can't really take anything for granted when it comes to coaches like that. It should be obvious though. Funny enough, like I said I was looking at an old depth chart, the newest one has DMo starting and Valanciunas coming off the bench behind Darjuš Lavrinovič who will be turning 35 later on this year. PG:Kalnietis(C) (lokomotiv Kuban) was woorking with Spurs and Nets this offseeason and left a relly good impression, probably will join NBA next season after his current contract will expire SGocius (Galatasaray) SF: Maciulis Real Madrid PF:Jankunas ( Kauno Zalgiris). A good player, played the most games for mostly of our Lithuanian's favourite team, because of experience and respect, he should start. C:Valanciunas(Raptors) Had a great season, had good Play-off experience, should be one of the best players in the tournament. DMO on the other hand should have a higher role at PF/C spot with Darjus who is 35, but had an amazing season last year and was named MVP of the Ukraina league ( played in Euroleague team). A mix of old and young is a very good thing going forward and if I know Kazlauskas well, DMO will get his chance, even in the starting line-up as this is the best coach in europe, honestly with a tone of resppect and experience and he likes to rotate a lot with big men ( we had like 6 of them in European Championship) and everyone had a chance to start. We can beat anyone and fight for medals. Funny fact: for those that are mad that Kazlauskas actually benched Yao, shouldn't be picky. Yao had injury problems and he didn't got a single one playing for Kazlauskas, so the guy took care of Yao and managed his minutes while making him productive. All of Yao's injury's were while playing in NBA, because apparently 82 games a year requres a lot from a player and that was too much for a big guy.
How many minutes does he usually play per game for LNT? Don't want him to wear himself out. Seems like he's going to be important part of the Rockets' rotation.
It does? Link pls. I remember getting frustrated with their team last year. Their guards would just run around dribbling then turn it over every time it seemed like.
Step off the fancy balls and drop the floors. I need you to get under the squat rack, 5x10 should have you puking. Who is training you? Richard Simmons.
