The blockade does nothing to hinder Hamas' capabilities in acquiring munitions/rockets. The blockade DOES collectively punish ALL the inhabitants of Gazans by depriving them of basic human needs such as water, food, and clothing. You're making this too easy for me.

Israel is not doing anything different from what Obama has done. The only way to deal with terrorists is to take them out. Obama killed Osama Bin Laden. Israel is killing Hamas terrorists, after having been extremely patient and restrained for a long time. It's sad that civilians are affected because the terrorists are taking them hostage. But Israel has a right to protect itself.

Let's not forget Israel attacked Gaza first because it thought Hamas killed those three teens. Israel doesn't have a shred of evidence that it was Hamas. Just an accusation.
Do you know the history? Thousands upon thousands of Palestinians were slaughtered - women and children - after being rounded up. Refugee camps bombed. Ethnic cleansing was openly carried out as the intended purpose as a policy to create a Jewish state. Hundreds of thousands of people were forced to remove their home. Israel rightly retaliated against Hamas for murdering the three teens. Hamas then once again increased their indiscriminate firing of rockets against Israel civilians, which is an expression of their blnd hate against Jews. Only then was Israel forced to resort to a ground invasion, in order to set back the terrorists' infrastructure and take out some of the terrorists. Unfortunately, there is no other way to deal with terrorists who subscribe to a death cult ideology.

Is that really the only way to deal with terrorists? Has it helped? A nation may have right and even be justified in taking out terrorists like that, but that is a far different thing than being an effective way at dealing with the problem. It has shown to be anything but effective in dealing with the problem. Israel has not stopped or slowed rockets from being launched at them in the future. A more effective way to deal with terrorists might be to erode support for terrorist organizations. The case can certainly be made that Israel has the right to do what they are doing. But I haven't seen you or anyone make the case that it is an effective way to deal with it. All it does is scratch the itch of revenge and the need to do something and take action. The exact same argument can be made against Hamas and their rocket launching. It does nothing for them, and doesn't help them accomplish any of their goals. They have a right to fight against the oppression and discrimination Palestinians face, but that method does nothing to make their lives any better.

According to some theories of morality, sure, according to others, you'd be doing wrong if you didn't. Then again, if you understood the many different concepts of morality, you'd know that. Just because your moral code tells you to do one thing when you play the trolley game doesn't mean that's the only correct answer. What I do know is that a plurality of Palestinians support a terrorist government....that's not a way to achieve a two state solution. Perhaps you should step aside and let the grown ups talk.
