My girlfriend and I are going to New York for 3 days

We are greyhounding there from Toronto.

Anyway, Do any NY locals know if there are any unique touristy stuff to do that is no the generic spots, good eats and stuff?

We've been to NY before very briefly and checked out the usual tourist stuff in Manhattan like SOL, Brooklyn bridge, grand central etc. we are looking to explore some other boroughs.

    Appreciate the help

Is the Soup Nazi real? If so, go there and get yourself kicked out.

Walk around real slow, looking up and around, while taking up the whole sidewalk with your 10 family members, holding up pedestrian traffic and frustrating locals.

That's part of being a tourist in NY.

Is there anything in particular that you want to eat or do? There's just too much to list, but for starters definitely eat at Artichoke Basille's and Mo Gelato. Shake Shack (the original in Madison Square Park), Pier I, RedFarm, Red Rooster in Harlem, and Parm are also some places worth checking out to name a few off the top of my head.

Sailboat rides are fun in the evenings. Dizzy's Coca Cola would be a nice date spot. It's a jazz club in Lincoln Center overlooking Central Park and offers some great views of the city.

I lived in NYC manhattan for the past 4 years before recently moving back to houston. PM me if any questions on food recommendation (am an avid foodie).

also you can look me on yelp as I have reviewed many restaurants in NYC

    Michael L.

in terms of food, NYC has the best food on the planet, I can attest to this as I have been to foodie capitals across the world including paris, and tokyo. So there is great food regarding for every genre. List your preferred genre and I can point you in the right direction.

There's so much to do and if you are staying for only 3 days it's best to plan it out

Can you search? There have been several threads asking just this question over the years, just loaded with suggestions. We really like being in the theatre district and going to see as many plays as we can fit in. If you like art and haven't been, MOMA is an absolute trip, and so's the Guggenheim.
