Yup. If Harden was wrong, we would have advanced further than the first round.

Imagine LeBron came out and said that about himself, wade, and bosh?!? How about actually showing up in the playoffs, huh? Harden.

Carl hates on harden for having a bad playoff, yet Loves a player that can't even get into the playoffs. Just ignore him.

Some of you are clueless. It doesn´t matter if he is wrong or right about others being role players, it´s about what does this dude gain by saying this? Remember Parsons saying he was the best SF in the series against Portland? It didn´t matter whether he was correct or not, he should not have said it because all he did was give extra motivation for Batum to kick his ass, and exposed the possibility of being outplayed just like he did.

You know what will Harden gain from this? "Role players" laughing in his face when scrubs go for 30 on him, or he struggles on 1v1 situations with our clueless coach praying for the talent to resolve in every play.

And by the way, D12 could legitimately call Harden just a role player after that Portland series.

Link? Because Ariza signed below market and Parsons and Bosh signed for about 45 million more than what the Rockets could possibly offer.

Patrick Patterson was integral to the raptors success last season.

Well he's gone now lol. He's Dallas "major" star player now. Our 3rd best player is now their "best player" (of course dirk is but...)

This team one 54 wins its first year together....Ariza will fill in fine for parsons. Asik missed a LOT of team crying about playing time and we were fine without him. When you have the best center in the league you don't worry to much about his back up. Morey will finish his job and fill this team out. We need more "role" player to support our star players

The locker room issues are gone from the team. Jeremy Lin was visibly yelled on the court at and it affected him. Asik and his union strike for more PT. Parsons was a vocal leader, but his style may have clashed with Harden and Howard's PC style. Parsons liked to talk ***** on record. Harden and Howard didn't do that. I'm sure they cringed everytime a parsons put the other team on blast in the media. DMo is probably another guy who is upset with his inconsistent PT. Jones gets the Lin treatment on the court a lot as well for his defensive lapses.

I'm just speculating. But being treated like an asset will obviously sway decisions.

Really? Harden has a bad series and now he's a role player? Carrying us pretty much the whole damn season was irrelevant huh. Selective memory

ALL TEAMS TREAT THEIR PLAYERS LIKE ASSEST MAN! ALL OF THEM

Morey is just more active than most GM's....he works harder throwing deals against the wall trying to build a winner for US! Wow man

I'm making assumptions, but I believe his comment is directed solely at Parsons. I wouldn't be surprised if behind closed doors Harden clarifies his statement with the rest of the team.

It doesn't matter what fans or the sports media think of the statement, what matters is how it is perceived among NBA players, specifically free agents that the team is targeting and players already on the team.

We'll see how this plays out.

 "Many players" are not reluctant to sign with the Rockets. I hear the same garbage in Chicago from Bulls fans.

Sounds like something Michael Jordan would say.

I wouldn't worry about "team chemistry," because far more douchey comments are made every day in the locker room and on the practice court. Some of y'all are too precious.

Good timing....So when Ray Allen decides to sign with the Cavs, you'll be posting your "I told you so" right here huh? And it's definitely because of what Harden said about role players. Dude stop

If one bad series makes Harden a role player, then that awful series Dirk had must make him a scrub.

Yup... NBA players who are not stars learn exactly where they rank fairly early on as they watch people marching in and out of the locker room. And that is exactly why they sign for the most dollars.
