People saying next Serge Ibaka... best case scenario. All I care about is if he can defend (block shots) and rebound

    Strengths:
    -Tremendous physical attributes
    -Great frame
    -Long arms
    -Huge hands
    -Terrific athlete
-Excellent timing as a rebounder. Goes after every loose ball with purpose
    -Very quick first step
-Very good finisher around the rim
    -Great potential defensively

    Weaknesses:
-Hasn't accepted who he is yet as a player. Thinks he's a small forward
-Falls in love with his jumper, which is extremely streaky
    -Average feel for the game
    -Makes unforced errors
-Bad body language. Goes after his teammates (Won't dare do that to Harden or Dwight)

OKC just signed their #1 pick to a D-League contract $25,000. If the NBA approves that then Morey just overpaid Capela because I don't see him getting much floor time for the Rockets.

If he insists (which evidently he was..)... its either sign him or lose the rights to him...

It's like people who make comparisons take into account where the player is from, their heritage, what they look like, etc. instead of their actual skills.

Just like with Joel Embiid people are saying he is the next Olajuwon. Why? Because he's a skinny black center from Africa who did a "dream shake" once?

Capela should have at least gone to the RGV and looked around a little bit before he decided he didn't want to play in Europe. Europe>RGV.

Maybe it's his life-long dream to live in Mexico, and this puts him one step closer to sneaking across the boarder.

$25,000? I'd just get a regular job until OKC treated my like a real person.

A name that popped into my mind watching some highlights, that I haven't seen mentioned yet as a comp:

    Darius Miles

No "J", thin as a rail, cuts to the hoop like a boss, jumps out of the gym...

Anybody see it besides me? Hopefully his head is screwed on a little better.

Maybe Capella can contribute something in terms of hustle and junk points before finishing the long process of bulking up to play center (i.e. this year).

If you watched the games, you could see him sitting with Milk Hair behind the bench.

I just see a taller Biyombo. Can block shots, but can't do much else.

If he can be Darius Miles before the injuries.. I'd be in love.

    In bits and pieces yes.

Although Miles was more of a SF with no jumper as to Capela who is more of a PF with no jumper and tremendous defense. Miles has him beat on handles though.

But I see the frame, athelticism, skill/lack of comparison.

    Lots of upside.

    I like it.

He is the next Chandler Parsons.

As in, someone else will sign him to the max.

Morey has found another cap killer.

If he gets NBA minutes I feel like he's going to have a kenneth faried type of rookie season.

I'm good with this. If he can continue to work on his game and improve, I see a Ibaka lite type of player.
