Yes. It's a fun movie, very watchable.

Also, major kudos for using the word 'pulchritude'.

The Talousians point though is that it doesn't matter if it is an illusion as long as it seems real enough. Especially if in the real world you are nothing but a piece of mute meat in a motorized wheel chair that can only communicate by flashing a light.

Umm, his son Julian already named the drawing Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds, Lucy was his classmate and he sorta had a crush on her. John just took the name of the drawing and the song itself he patterned after Alice in Wonderland type of imagery. Purely coincidental that John was on drugs in those days.

I'm along the lines of interpreting it as a side-story to Limitless in the same world.

Limitless was stupid. This movie looks even worse than that. Everyone knows what the context of the quote "You only use 10% of your brain" is right? It wasn't an actual value, it was meant to mean humans do not live up to their potential. You use 100% of your brain, furthermore, the ability of you to control dead cells (as seen in the hair color change and length scene) is down right comical. Why not pretend that she has the ability to create a conflibertybab, and with it the ability to make fictional characters like Harry Potter real now? There is no end to this.

    u mad bro?

Questioning the reality of movie. Named after a fictional character that is a satire of another fictional character.

    This isn't a documentary bub.

It's not the humans only use 10% of our brains thing that pisses me off the most about this movie.

It's Morgan Freeman's character, who apparently knows what happens when you reach 20%, 63% etc. exactly but when the dude asks him what happens at 100% he has no idea?

wtf man? So do you know what happens at 99% too? I bet he does.

Its called science fiction. Science is in the title. When you watch stuff like Doctor Who they bend and break rules, but at least it is sort of based in some form of reality. This movie stars a man who hosts Through the Wormhole, and pretends like it has a sliver of science to it. All in all, it isn't even remotely based in science. Look at what Vernes did, some science and some extrapolation. Heck, even Dan Brown and the da Vinci Code was remotely based on some facts. This seems like the wonderful pontification of a stoner who failed out of high school biology.

So you've seen Lucy? or are you basing this on just the trailer?

I have not, I can only hope that the trailer is just doing a poor job explaining the premise.

+1 for Altered States reference. (oh, wait... you mean like *the* Lucy, oh well. Anyway, as I was saying)

Maybe Lucy will rip off that ending...

I didn't go, my work schedule changed where it's tougher for me to make it early to these screenings, plus it was only like 3 days in advance, I usually go to the ones that are a week or more in advance (Guardians on Thursday... :))

I think that clip was edited that way. The scene and background of when the guy asked that question and when Morgan Freeman said he doesn't know seemed different from each other.
