Covington has a body as great as Lebron, but he plays like Ronnie Brewer (the Ronnie Brower of last season in the Rockets).
Yesterday's game. In first half, Cannan looked like Lin in his worse day. In second half, he looked like a crazy Aaron Brooks in a good day.
This will be a good test for the Rockets perimeter players tonight. The Kings have several players on that team that received NBA playing time last season.
Most of the Rockets team are walk-ins other than Dmo, Cannan, Covington and Nick. Almost half of the King's team are their rotation players last season. They should be the heavy favor here.
Quick observations from a couple of Summer League Games: 1. Cannan plays to lackadasical on defense. Falls to the ground when driving to the rim and doesn't hustle back on D. Don't see the bball IQ needed for a PG 2. Covington soft as wet tissue paper and wants no part of banging in the paint or getting a tough rebound in traffic 3. Dmo should look great, like a college guy playing against 10th graders. The guy Davis from Charolotte was giving him the business with quick moves and was able to get in the paint with ease and had Dmo jumping like the Hulk! 4. Would like to see Nick J develop into a PG definitely not 2G.
Canaan, Covington, and Nick are the main guys I was referring to. I expect D-Mo to continue doing what he's been doing. Nick looked really good in Orlando but has looked D-league bound since they've been in Vegas playing better competition. Really BIG test for him tonight.
Shasta U fast ! Thank you. Real Rockets fans live n Die with Summer league ! oh yeah........lol Even my wife is luvin it...Rockets right now ?...hell yeah I'll watch.
He hasn't been able to stay in front of NBA caliber point guards and too small to guard 2guards... And he also has trouble getting his shot off against better talent as well. I think he'll be good in the future but may not be ready for the Big Show at this point.
Should be a pretty fun match up tonight. I imagine this dude will be checking DMo <iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/68KASgScUns" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
I don't care who wins. Just want to see D-Mo and Canaan play great. Kings are playing like a team on a roll and I doubt the rag tag Rockets squad will keep up with them for 4 quarters unless Canaan or someone else blows up.
