Nope. The ones I have met were educated, polite, moderate, and well-spoken. Sadly, I cannot say the same about the Palestinians I have met. But your question shows your indoctrination and bias. Why would they give up? They need to defend themselves from terrorists who want to murder them, and they have every right to do so.
Because the relentless killing of children, regardless of intent, is abhorrent and genocidal you moron. Here, open your eyes: https://t.co/IWJCa7guOf https://t.co/rWNEHsvlWQ https://t.co/sf1UpY5QWR Countless other examples, many of them available here: http://mondoweiss.net/2014/07/terrifying-tweets-israeli.html
What does "too many of them are" mean? Is there some magical threshold that suddenly makes it okay? Is it 50%, 40%, 5%? This is a useless statement that does not enhance dialogue. Please spare us the "dead children" sympathy card. There would be zero dead children if Hamas didn't fire Rockets into Israel and broke the cease fire. What does blindly firing Rockets towards your enemy accomplish, militarily?
If 200+ Palestinians dead = "genocide", then I guess "genocide" has become as useless a word in political discourse as "fascism."
The first three links you sent return errors. The last link you sent, well, I really don't know what to say about it. I really don't other than quoting something like this doesn't help your credibility.
The siege itself, older than a decade now, has killed hundreds of children in Gaza due to malnourishment and hunger. Refrain from posting until you have a full picture of the occupation facts.
If Hamas declared tomorrow that they recognize Israel's right to exist, it would change everything, in my opinion. Until that happens, as I said before, we'll see this sort of conflict again and again.
Gaza is self ruled with their own elected government. Help me understand why this is an "occupation"? If Hamas wants to feed their children, how does firing rockets at their neighbor help?
Haha it is surely because those Israeli teenage girls deleted their tweets out of shame and embarrassment. Luckily, the good folks over at mondoweiss took screenshots of numerous virulently racist tweets. Check em out in the last link. As for the amount of racism in israel, I'll let Max Blumenthal fill you in, amazing and important book from a proud Jewish American journalist: Max Blumenthal's Goliath
You form your opinion about Jews based on what some teenage girl tweets? Hmmm, how does this help bolster your cause about a serious topic?
Ya proponents of South Africa used to contend that the Bantustans were sovereign and free of Apartheid govt control. You're on the wrong side of history buddy, and the international community sees right through your hasbara nonsense. Gaza is an open air prison because of Israel, not impotent and incompetent Hamas.
The opposite of what houstonhoya is saying is true. Israel actually feeds the people of Gaza and supplies them with what they need. Despite this support, the Gazans haven't been able to build much that is meaningful. Maybe if they focused more on education rather than indoctrinating their children with hate (like has happened with houstonhoya, obviously) and if they focused on building their economy rather than buying and building rockets, they would be better off.
I'm asking you questions which you deflect the answers. HOW is Gaza an "occupation". HOW does firing Rockets into Israel help their cause? I can be convinced with facts. I cannot be convinced with propaganda laced tirades similar to "open air prisons". I've provided many facts, I've received very few in return. You mentioned one interesting fact that Arabs are denied the right to own land. However, that is a half-truth, at best. Israeli's don't own land either.

I'm not here to teach you the realities of the Zionist project. I could, but you seem to be a terrible listener. Numerous human rights organizations have refused to distinguish between Israeli involvement in Gaza pre and post disengagement, why? Because the situations are practically identical for Gazans. Israel keeps Gazans on a 'diet' to use the words of an official Israeli document. http://www.theguardian.com/world/2012/oct/17/israeli-military-calorie-limit-gaza Some sinister stuff.
No imports no exports, no free flow of Gazans, can't go 6 miles off the coast without being shot at by the Israeli navy, constant fear of another series of aerial attacks and ground incursions once every couple of years. Just ask any Gazans if their lives are better now that the ~1000 settlers are gone, they would all say no. It's occupation and it's inhumane. Israel's monstrous behavior is on full display now, and the whole world is watching.
You really think any western media outlet will report on an Israeli cease fire? You want Fox News? http://blog.thejerusalemfund.org/2014/02/israelgaza-cease-fire-dynamics-breakdown.html http://antiwar.com/blog/2014/02/06/the-truth-about-cease-fire-violations-between-israel-and-gaza/
