This thread was ruined when it turned from a "paging cyberx" thread into a Drew fanboy thread. And then it was ruined even further when his prediction didn't pan out. I'd *much* rather this be a thread that has cyberx feeding us little tidbits like the good lapdogs we are than have to watch a bunch of people argue about how valid Drew is. That gets boring really fast; cyberx nuggets don't.
Somebody should start a Drew thread and keep that garbage over there. Fwiw, I predicted parsons was gone and I'm not an insider, just a fan with an opinion.
What a FANTASTIC idea. Wish that would've happened a few days ago, then we might still have a "paging cyberx" thread.
sources: No trade happening saturday 7/19. but something will get done from now through july of 2017. I promise.
Guys if you are not satisfied with a thread you can just mark it one star, and go ahead open a new thread. Oh and be prepared for the thread police.
Are you kidding me? This board would be cluttered lol. The problem with a lot of these posters is there inability to stay on topic. This thread is clearly about getting nuggets from Cyberx, yet here come all the brigade of "insiders and non-insiders whom are friends with insiders" that just have to come and derail the thread. Then it just becomes an endless argument of who is legit, who isn't, and of course all the dream scenarios posters think are possible (i.e. TJones/NO 1st Round Pick) for Dragic, lol).
That this thread is still open tells us all we need to know about cybrex. He has some insider access. Enough for Clutch, or this would have been closed shortly after it opened. Everyone else claiming to be in the know? In my humble opinion, they should open their own threads, or post somewhere else in the GARM, in another thread. God knows, there's enough of them. We're getting way off the rails here and, in my opinion, those arguing about letting "so and so" post here are simply contributing to derailing this thread. Don't like that idea? Then start a thread about whoever you want to converse with. Again, in my humble opinion. So is there any more news, cybrex, dammit? Earth to cybrex! :-D-
Just to keep the record straight about Dwight. Dwight signed off his ETO in 2012 when he learned the Magic were going to trade him to Houston. The deal was already agreed to and they informed him they were trading him to Houston as a last minute effort to keep him. He signed away his ETO to keep from going to Houston and then as soon as the season was over he went into the pout again and forced a trade to LA. Dwight himself later corroborated this by admitting that he was almost traded here in 2012. That was a decision that came down to literally minutes before the trade deadline was over. I think he was actually on a plane getting ready to fly somewhere when they informed him and he signed away his ETO to keep from being traded to the Rockets at that time. http://www.cbssports.com/nba/writer...wight-howard-faces-no-derision-after-decision Just keeping the record straight here. The insider intel that I received about Dwight finally all came out in the wash. It's out there for the world to see today. We came within an eyelash of trading for him. And this board was up to date on it as it was happening. This board had more insider info on the Dwight saga in 2012 than anybody else. And you know what? Most of you didn't care. When it didn't happen all you did was mock the posters that give you all the inside scoop that was available. The real fans got excited that we were so close to getting him and were despondent when it didn't happen. The non-real fans were those that were laughing that it didn't happen and having a big time trashing the insiders...kinda like looters when the city is on fire. What you have to understand about insider information is the politics involved. There is politics involved most every trade that takes place in the NBA. Teams have to play games to extricate as much value as they can in trade....or in Dwight's case....to keep the player that is trying to leave. Now....here is what I can tell you from one of my sources concerning the PG trade talks with PHX. Everything is very fluid. We do/did have a tentative deal in place with PHX for Goran but both sides wanted contingencies..PHX wanted to fish around for a possible deal for Bledsoe and Houston wanted/wants to fish around to possibly turn this deal into a bigger deal than just Goran or Bledsoe. When PHX went fishing for S&T trades for Bledsoe, we jumped on the bandwagon and have been negotiating on him as well. Now that's all I know from one of my sources about what is going on here. But I know my source is legit. I know my source has legit information from people on the inside. He was given that information by an insider. Now...is it possible the insider gave him bad info to throw everybody off??? Sure it is. But that hasn't happened yet. The reason being is that if the insiders want bad information to leak...they are going to leak it to the national media. That's why you have to be able to read and sift through things in the national (and local) media. Because a LOT of that information is torqued, twisted, and sometimes totally inaccurate. Right now, the scope of this message board is simply not great enough to warrant the Morey types planting misinformation here. All they've got to do is plant misinformation with the national media and it will be disseminated all sorts of ways here which further confuses everything. Drew DOES have at least some of the scoop here. Will the trade go down? Don't know. "Everything is liquid" and "agreement in principle" tells me that there is the possibility that it may not go down. But we should be able to deduce some things from publicly known facts and put that together with some of these insider tips to give us some indicators of what is going on. First of all, PHX signed Isaiah Thomas to a deal starting at over $7.2 million. Just for perspective, Goran is making $7.5 million and due for most likely a max contract next summer. Other than Lin....who is now a starter...I don't know of a backup PG in this league making $7.2 million. Do you? So this should tell us something. Couple that with the fact that PHX also drafted a Tyler Ennis in the first round...and all of a sudden you've got around $8.5 million in backup point guards on top of whatever they re-sign Eric Bledsoe for. Contrast this with the salaries and talent they are committed to at the 4/5 spots. Len/Markieff/Shavlik/Plumlee/Tolliver are the 4/5s on their roster with salaries totaling $10.5 million. If PHX keeps Goran and Bledsoe and Thomas and Ennis then by next summer they will be paying somewhere around $35-40 million for those guys. Goran will have 7 years in the league and will be eligible for a max deal starting somewhere around $18-20 million and will most likely warrant a deal in that range if he continues his stellar play without injury. PHX knows that is coming. And they also know they ain't winning with that combination of 4/5's. And they know if they wait to trade Goran that his trade value is going to go down as teams realize at the trade deadline that he could walk on them and if they do keep him they are going to have to pay him $80-$100 million over 5 years. So....does anybody doubt that PHX is talking trade regarding Goran/Bledsoe??? You shouldn't. Does anybody doubt that Morey is working that situation over big time? You shouldn't doubt that either. Make of it what you will. But we are very close to getting a PG.
I don't think Ennis will be much of a factor in what the Suns do. They drafted Marshall before going out to get Dragic in free agency. Marshall was drafted higher than Ennis too.
So that makes the 4th source to suggest this? I believe you. Wait you aren't CyberX, don't post in here(sarcasm)! Lets hope it gets done!
Oh Jesus, so now you're an insider, too? I don't doubt for a second that Morey is trying to work a trade of some sort - he always is, it's what he does. It wouldn't surprise me for a second if he was after one of the PHO guards, either - there's an opportunity there. I also don't doubt that PHO is listening to such proposals given their situation. Frankly, it wouldn't shock me if something did go down, but logically the odds are against it unless more teams are involved (we have nothing PHO would want). But Morey being Morey... I wouldn't bet against him. But that is not my point, never was. Where is cyberx? Is he supposed to wade through all of this BS to answer our questions? What is the point of this thread? What is the topic of discussion? Take it somewhere else.
Hey if you just stick with your stance, you have a 50/50 chance to get it right! The Chris Sherridan Rule.
Suns are definitely listening to calls for a sign and trade for Bledsoe, before the Lakers Got Boozer they made their pitch... Also discusses Rockets interest in making some type of bid for Bledsoe? ?http://hoopshype.com/rumors.htm
There is no speculation here. Cyberex himself said yesterday that Beverely is considering going to Germany to get treatment on his knee. It makes perfect sense for the Rockets to be pursuing a PG over any other position. If Beverley is even close to a question mark, then the Rockets would have one of the weakest PG situations in the NBA, much less for a team that wants to be considered a championship contender.
Good God man could you have written a longer post? Just say you think they will make a trade and that's it. No reason to write it in crayon. Whether someone has info is starting to get old real fast. I appreciate what Cyberex brings to the board but it's starting to bring other "insiders" who are playing guessing games. Several of us were predicting that HOU wasn't going to match Parsons unless they landed Bosh. Does this make us insiders? No - it's called logic because Parsons wasn't worth that contract. Either way, here's to a better offseason. Spoiler
