Guys, if a trade goes down with PHX for either Bledsoe or Dragic on Sunday or Monday instead of tonight, won't Drew still have some credibility with y'all?!?

Maybe it hit a small snag, but the framework is done, maybe small pieces ala money or picks are being haggled over unexpectedly... who knows?

Any reason why we haven't cut our non-guaranteed contracts yet, maybe to be able to send back to another team in a trade???

Decided to look up the origin of "eating crow", found a wiki article on it:

"n the modern figurative sense of being proven wrong, eating crow probably first appeared in print in 1850, as an American humor piece about a rube farmer near Lake Mahopack, New York...All tell a similar story: a slow-witted New York farmer is outfoxed by his (presumed urban)[3] boarders; after they complain about the poor food being served, the farmer discounts the complaint by claiming he "kin eat anything", and the boarders wonder if he can eat a crow. "I kin eat a crow!" the farmer says. The boarders take him up on the challenge but also secretly spike the crow with Scotch snuff. The story ends with the farmer saying: "I kin eat a crow, but I be darned if I hanker after it."[3] Although the humor might produce a weak smile today, it was probably a knee slapper by 19th century standards, guaranteeing the story would be often retold in print and word of mouth, thus explaining, in part, the idiom's origin."

Yeah, ya'll need to a chill a bit with the lynching. Obviously there's something--even if it's minor--to what he's saying if an announcer mentioned it on tv. Not to say Rick Fox is Woj by any means as he could still be way off base, but I don't think Drew is just pulling this stuff out of thin air either.

    why are y'all so impatient?

we would be ecstatic if we can get either Dragic or Bledsoe. let the FO do its work.

don't get too high or too low with these predictions. at least drew's tweets are keeping this offseason interesting.

That's a big fat negative. If he was the starting job would have been his this past season.

    DMo is far from that.

It's been long known that TJones was going to be more NBA ready....But DMo has always had the higher upside (perhaps a boom or bust quality, if you will).....and given time, he should prove to be the better player. Nothing against TJ....He was a good pick. DMo, though demonstrated, out of the shoot...otherworldly speed for a man his size...and sweet post moves. I thought he would be dealt by now, and probably would have if certain things had fallen differently. As it is, we have a guy that plays very good defense (and it will get even better), is growing into his body...and has a real J from the line, better than he's shown. Give him consistent time and within a year or so...wherever he plays, I say he hits the 3 at a 37-38% clip, is able to consistently work in the post, moving the ball, while crashing the boards...and, did I say he runs like a deer? His game is coming along...and we just MIGHT see him reach his potential as a Rocket after all.

What trade? Phoenix can do much better than what Rockets have to offer, if they're actually looking to make a trade. And I still think that's mainly made up by the "OMG to many guards!!!" crowd. The exact same thing was happening last summer, when it was "obvious" to everybody and their grandma, that either Bledsoe or Dragic are gone before the start of the season.

Rick Fox heard it from Broussard and his multiple sauces. Read the damn article, it was pure speculation!

    Nothing is happening!

    This is embarrassing!

One of the other things that makes me believe there is something to Plowman, Drew, Rick Fox and (possibly) George Karl's sayings is Phoenix NEEDS PF's.

They have the Morris twins, Shavlik Randolph and a newly signed Anthony Tolliver.

Markieff may play a little more like a true PF, but he's definitely not a banger or true "big man". We know Marcus isn't. Randolph? Tolliver?

    T. Jones FITS with their roster. Not saying this alone means "it's happening", but it does make sense that they'd be willing to look at moving a PG for a big man (or two).

I would think T. Jones is viewed positively by GM's and we know how valuable the Pels pick likely is.
