Canaan will be solid for us this year if he gets a chance. His defense has improved a lot and he can shoot lights out. Hopefully, he can carry over his summer league success into training camp/the regular season.

It could happen but there's so much going against it right now. If the Rockets use their TPE, their main trade bait can only be the Pelicans' pick. Even though the Rockets are pimping that pick on their home page. It's hard to believe it'd be enough. Spoiler Using T.Jones as the main trade asset they'd need to package Powell, Canaan, Covington, plus S&T Garcia just to get the salaries to work. The Jazz are looking for a third PG and are reportedly interested in Garcia.

Oh yeah I get that and felt the same way after Bosh backed out on the deal, but I also know our GM is a smart guy and has a plan to keep the team in contention. We are still close just need a couple more pieces to get over the hump. So I'm being patient and letting the plan come together before I judge the off season. I feel like A LOT of poster on here are giving up on a season that is months away from starting...
