    Hey! I was...partially right? lol.

I felt like the second episode of the two tonight was filler, with that airbender bootcamp / bison capture stuff. I get that getting new Airbenders to continue the lineage (of sorts) is important, but to focus an entire episode on it, while not really developing Kai or other characters, is a step backwards.

Tenzin was also really out of character, getting mad at everything.

I agree with you about the second episode. It was still a good episode but with only 13 episodes in this season you really didn't need it. Disagree with you about Tenzin though. Tenzin is awful at this kind of stuff and has shown visible frustration before in past seasons. His daughter continually outshines him in everything he thought he was destined to become, His connection to the spirit world sucks, He kinda sucked as a mentor to Korra, He isn't a very good leader either. If you think about it, just because he is Aangs son AND was the only air bender born in LONG time, he was just expected to be good at this stuff. Welp, he isnt.

I'm pretty disappointed that it took me this long to realize that the water bending bad guy is armless! that makes her even cooler.

I agree with those who felt the 2nd episode tonight was filler. Still entertaining, but it feels like such a waste when you know the season has only 13 episodes to tell its story and the last 2 seasons both ended feeling somewhat rushed. With LOK it almost feels as if Mike and Bryan have lost their ability to properly economize time to complete a full, well-paced narrative.

You can feel his frustration, though. He was the only offspring of Aang who could airbend, creating a chip on his shoulder to continue the lineage (which he did, with Meelo, Ikki and Jinora...and maybe Rohan?) So the fact that he gets constantly outshined, creating an anger, is understandable.

I actually thought Season 2 was pretty well-paced (read: no filler episodes). Aang's series could afford a few fillers here and there, because each season/book has 20 episodes, iirc. LoK can't afford to have filler episodes. There honestly can't even be like, half an episode of filler, tbh.

Relating this to the above post I quoted though, I think Bryan and Mike should have spread out the powers for the kids. Jinora can have her Spirit World affinity, sure, but Ikki or Meelo should have had that Astral Projection "power." In fact, I don't think Ikki has had her character fleshed out. We know about Jinora. We know that Meelo is a commanding BAWSS (AND HE FARTBENDS!!)

Characters who've been pretty useless this book: Asami, Ikki, Korra (lol). If Asami and Ikki were completely written out of the series at this point in time, I don't think I would miss them. It feels like Korra is a supporting character, in recent episodes. She was barely in the first episode, and I don't even think she was in the second.

Aang / Katara / Sokka / Toph / Zuko was a great core. There's starting to be too many characters in LoK.

I wish they would show more of the ice twins, but they probably won't. Aubrey Plaza does the best voice acting bar none on that show. Every line is hilarious, it's just a shame she has so few.

Thought they were some good episodes. Thought Beifong's trauma would be something a little deeper but I have to remind myself that this is a kid's show and not the adult narrative that I want it to be.
I could see how people could think the second episode was filler, but it seemed they were just showing the pains of trying to rebuild a nation.

I'm guessing the next episodes will entail the Fatal Four attacking the Metal Kingdom(is that what it was called?)anyway I guess this season is already half over. Its going so fast.

Agreed. She's had like one or two lines in Change, but I think her part (and her twin, and Tonraq) is all but over at this point. Maybe the book's finale will feature her again.

I liked the storyline there - it's not too childish (as most siblings do fight) and it's not too dark (read: Lin has all her limbs and organs intact lolol).

With how fast the season is going, LoK really shouldn't have shown 30 minutes of the nation being rebuilt though. If half the episode was focused on that while the other half was on the Fatal Four (GREAT name, btw), then that'd be awesome.

So far, we've only see glimpses of what the F4 can do, and what their motives might be, superficially (there was a line about assassinating the president). I'm sure LoK won't be as slow paced / filler-y as the latter episode though.

Soooooo Nickelodeon has decided to pull the last five episodes of Korra due to low ratings! What the fuuuuuuuuu

Maybe if they actually promoted the show they wouldn't have this problem. The premiere for this season came out of nowhere. Hopefully they'll have more info at comic con.

I have no idea when they'll show these five episodes or if they'll be released online, but we at least still get one episode this Friday

What in the f***. Wasn't Korra very recently the highest rated show in Nick's history?

I wonder how they'll show the last season. On demand on iTunes? Netflix? Or free on Nick's website?

Hopefully we'll get answers on Friday.

They should just throw the last season up on Netflix.

I wonder if its possible to move the Avatar series to another network after Korra is done, or do Nickelodeon own all right for that particular series?

Yeah, this is what happens when you don't promote a show with even a modicum of effort and give it a sh-tty time slot. ******* it...
