I understand where he is coming from, but come on. You have at least 1/2 bill in the bank you and you're kids can live off of it. Quit b****ing it isn't hard to find passions with cash like that.
He's one of the most iconic players of his generation, if not in the entirety of the history of the NBA. He'll be fine.
Maybe a little bit but he's also probably not sure what he can do. Maybe thats why he was having dinner with Jordan a few weeks ago. I guess he knows its coming, and you'd think he'd be ready to relax but also he can't be a loner forever
I understand where he is coming from ,he is one of the greatest players to ever play the game. But you have so much money to travel the World and experience things that majority of the World can't with their resources. He is so competitive, he should get into ownership of perhaps of an European soccer team and many other biz ventures.
I don't blame him for being scared. The last time he found a passion outside of basketball he almost went to jail for 20 years.
That's a nice problem to have. I'm sure most parents with young kids would love to retire early and spend all that quality time with their kids, bc they'll likely don't want to be around you when they're older lol.

Athletes with Kobe's mentality... yeah, it's tough. He'll have to sit down with MJ and learn how to find peace after basketball. Competitive people like them need an outlet.
Being a celebrity in the entertainment buisness and having money and connections will net you plenty of opportunity a normal person would never get to see im sure. I honestly think he'd be a fitting person on tv from seeing him one night with the TNT guys but I doubt he wants that. Plenty of hyper competetive guys still get chances to redirect their energy around the game because they love the game, not just the spotlight.
