What would that accomplish even if he would sign a 10 mil 1st year contract? PHX would match in a second.
I'll say this....one name we haven't heard one pep from is Sergio Llull. He's the only potential option I could see being worth the full MLE. None of the remaining NBA vets make sense at that level. Llull just lost his best teammate, Mirotic, to the NBA. Perhaps his timeline has moved up.
Just like morey had plans to resign parsons. Don't get your hopes up for a big player coming. morey is always keeping his options open for the big fish, but that shouldn't increase optimism that it will happen. No matter what, morey is ALWAYS swinging for the big names.
Rockets need to use up all their cap space to use these exceptions yes?

Official signings of Dorsey/Adrien/Smith mean #Rockets have no imminent plans to use cap room. I don't believe so. To my knowledge, the vacant TPE acts as a placeholder for salary, so they can use the MLE/BAE today, should they choose. Likewise, because it's the TPE, they could also use that today and still retain the MLE/BAE. The only impact the minimum signings have on the status of the Rockets is as an under-the-cap team -- i.e. they clearly aren't going to make a big RFA offer for Bledsoe or anything like that. I don't think it has anything to do with their ability to use the exceptions. That's why they were already operating as an over-the-cap team.
I want Jameer Nelson for the simple fact that its known that he can get the ball to Dwight. Also he's hungry for a title
phoenix is actually stupid to even offer bledsoe that kind of contract. he is 24yrs old and already has serious knee issues. who is gonna trade for him with that kind of contract.
Houston is going to have to sign a bench, Use the Lin Trade Exception, MLE, and etc.. If they just go on this roster alone could bounce them out of the playoff bracket, because of how good Suns might be. Bench looks like scrubs, i rather have Vipers dleague team in there. Sure Houston has Howard and Harden but they cant play 40+ mins a night. What happens if Howard has some injuries this season????
What makes people think that "this is it"? It's July. Plenty of time to sign or trade for guys even before training camps start. Remember Carlo Delfino? He didn't sign with the Rockets until after he was done playing in the Olympics. Plenty of guys out there still looking for homes.
