Ugh. I trust plowman, he wouldn't make stuff up but king drew is a troll, just full of s h I t. Wish people would stop posting his tweets.
Unfortunately, I think this is it. Our "insiders" heard we were getting a PG from Phoenix. Well, what a coincidence, we got one. I think they both heard something valid, and it actually happened. Problem is, I think we're in denial - "This can't be all, it just can't!" sort of denial, and we want Dragic and Bledsoe. So the "insider" info turned from Ish Smith in reality to "OMG we're getting Dragic on Saturday!" on CF. Go figure.
I think I'm gonna go read a Phoenix forum for a bit. I just wanna know why they are collecting point guards. It's a fascinating situation.
It is concerning, but the Rockets need a pg. They have the assets to land one, and Pheonix needs a power forward now that Frye is gone. That build up of PG's in PHX is interesting. Isaiah Thomas, the rookie? hmmmm.
Exactly. David Lee is the last thing Minnesota wants back in a trade. I bet they would rather have Terrance Jones based on upside alone.
Cleveland(they have a ton of picks, Wiggins, Dion Waiters and Tristan Thompson) Golden State( Klay thompson is under contract for multiple seasons, not one like Dragic) Boston(multiple first round picks, Jeff Green and Jared Sullinger) Phoenix(a bledsoe for love and kevin martin deal, plus they have young talent and and picks too) Dragic would be a one year rental for minnesota, leaving them with trevor ariza and the pelicans pick only to show for Kevin Love. Not nearly enough.
Are you hearing this from the same source that said that we Spoiler WILL Spoiler NOT Spoiler TRADE Spoiler CHANDLER Spoiler PARSONS ?
Cleveland will give up Wiggins if LeBron tells management he wants Kevin Love. David Lee is a negative, but if the warriors put Klay Thompson on the table, that peaks Minnesota's interest.
I'll give you a pass cuz you base knowledge on a join date. Yes we got a great deal for but this is not the same situation. Kevin Martin was in the harden trade and while he wasn't all that, OKC was a contender and wanted a contributor in that trade. Jeremy lamb was a much higher pick than Clint. Another first rounder was in there which we don't have cuz of the Lin trade. Phx hasn't hinted they were worrying about losing dragic. The only thing coming out of Phx right now is that they're far away on negotiations with Bledsoe. Doesn't mean something has to happen. On top of that, teams have seen how the Harden trade backfired and are more careful. And the last point which many posters here seem to always miss: There are always 29 teams to look to trade with, not everyone is going to call Houston and we don't always have the best assets.
Yeah I was afraid that must be the case. BUT I'm also in denial: THIS CAN'T BE IT! Or it better not be it...
Bev / Canaan / Smith Harden / Johnson Ariza / Clint Jones / Dmo Howard / Dorsey Like it or not, this is our team next year with hopefully an addition with the exceptions. And in my opinion, because of our lack of depth and weakness at the PF spot, that leaves us behind Spurs, Thunder, Clippers, Memphis, Mavs. We should be on the same level as the Warriors and Blazers. Though I don't feel good about any playoff match ups. Despite all that, love that we have Harden and Howard and next season will still be exciting.
I asked suns fans on real gm and this was their response: "We aren`t trading any of them for peanuts just because we have 4 good pg`s. And our FO look at them as a guards, not just pg`s. Also, Ennis will spend majority of time in D-league so there is just enough time for Dragic, Bledsoe and Thomas at 1 and 2."
Interesting takes by Phoenix Suns fans on their forum. They are basically under the impression that they are not going to trade any of their PG's without getting a star in return (basically over valuing their players like all fan sites). They are saying that their FO views them as just guards and will be happy to keep Dragic/Bledsoe/Thomas if need be. Thoughts guys? http://forums.realgm.com/boards/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=1335990
No, they don't want to give up Wiggins, but.... http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/1...iggins-deal-kevin-love-minnesota-timberwolves
