I really don't have much info. From execs and people I have spoken to in Vegas... They think Morey gambled (for good reason) and missed.

    McHale isn't happy obviously.

People are concerned that Howard may opt out when he can.

Parsons was a big reason he came obviously.

Morey just absolutely hates Fegan more than I can put into words...

There was an agreement with those 2 for Dwight to sign... It has backfired.

You know, that's a good comparison. You can actually trace the various posters and thread topics to characters and events in Cormac McCarthy's book The Road.

Wasn't the agreement, He brings us Dwight and we let Parsons out of his contract, early? Or something like that.

It does scare me that Dwight might jump ship to join Chandler if things don't work out in Houston

I don't get how that's an agreement. It was Dwight's decision, not Dan Fegan's.

Exactly what i feared with Howard. Winining changes things, but we will see if we can pull something off i guess.

Pretty much the sum of all our fears and suspicions. Morey needs to hit a homerun. Soon. If Dwight opts out it's Morey's job IMO. And I'd prefer to keep both around long term.

Don't know that Morey really has the right to get mad at Fegan. Fegan found the best offer for Parsons, which he accepted. Morey was obviously not willing to match that price unless he landed a Chris Bosh/Melo type first.

Any thoughts on George Karl saying thr "Rockets let Parsons go because they are going after a PG"?

Cuban was pissed that Rockets went after Dirk with the max and wanted to stick it to the Rockets even more.

Which is why I am mad. We are not a lottery team you do not gamble with a team on a cusp of becoming a contender. If Dwight bolts Morey has to be fired.

dwight still has 2 years to play here. therefore to early about the opt out thing. Im sure Dwight will stay witht he Rockets it will be his last pay day and we have his bird rights.. Im not so sure he wants to play/and move to another team again..

Morey will get someone- hes done it before..

    Let this play out

Does Dwight really think that highly of Parsons that he would leave us to go to Dallas?

I can't imagine he would prefer Parsons over Harden...

    So, what's the plan now?

Just filling out the roster with some relatively inexpensive veteran role players or is there some effort to go after a bigger target?

Howard already looking to leave/regrets signing here! All it took was a year!:p

I've said and will continue to say/believe: Dallas and Golden State were more attractive.

    Steph/Klay/Howard

And Dirk's demise, decline, retirement was/is always overblown. (Much like the Spurs and how they're always written off.) Just signed on for 3 more years.

    The biggest reason?

You obviously always hear about McHale, Parsons, Harden, & Hakeem.
