Dragic is their starting 2 guard, not their PG.

    I'd take Rubio...

While his shot needs work, the guy gets the offense moving. He finds open teammates and he's great in transition.

Harden should catch the ball in attacking position more rather than trying to initiate the offense all of the time. Rubio, Rondo, Dragic, Bledsoe...These are guys that would help with that.

No he's not. They just ran two PGs when Bledsoe was healthy, which wasn't often. Dragic was they're starting PG all season long.

And I agree with the above post. Dragic might not be availible, but Bledsoe has to be! I understand having a 3 gaurd rotation, but why would they draft Ennis if they intend on paying three POINT guards (Dragic, Bledsoe, Isaiah) at least 7mil per year?

I would be surprised if they don't either let Bledsoe go (or S&T) or trade Dragic.

What team in the league needs a PG and can beat our offer? Sac maybe but they just signed Collison. I could see LAL giving Bledsoe big money, but they don't have the pieces for a trade. Who else?

oh, there's no doubt that one of their PGs is being traded. The question is which one. We can pretty much rule out Thomas (just came over in a sign & trade) and Ennis (just drafted). It's gotta be Bledsoe or Dragic. I think Bledsoe is a max player and we don't have $16 mil in cap room, where as Dragic is $8 mil.

If we trade with the Suns it's Dragic that's in play.

it's not 2 years, it's 1 + player option on year 2, it's a bad contract for a team that probably won't make the playoffs

Dragic is NOT locked up for 2 more years.

    Remember the player option?

Ah ...forgot about that. I remember at the time it was thought to be a rich contract and Morey was worried about Dragic exercising that, so i guess i had it in my head it was 4-yrs. Of course now he'll opt out.

    I stand corrected. my bad

Lil' Lebron or Dragon. Either way I'm down for the cause.

If he plays poorly or gets hurt then he exercises the player option, if he plays well and can get paid more he declines option. Either way the team loses in the second year. Not good from a gm perspective. you want him to play well so it ends up being a one year deal, but there is risk.

We'll trade Bev+Jones for a PF upgrade, then sign Chauncey Billups and Andre Miller.

On a more serious note....I'd LOVE to get Lawson in here. I'd take Gogi too, but he'll definitely opt out after next year.

I would think, unless it's a franchise PG, Morey would be looking for someone with a 2 year deal. That may help limit the options.

He doesn't want to commit to two years. He wants a one year deal to have flexibility next offseason.

meh, it was Morey's fault because we would have had him if Morey was willing to do the 4th year player option.

I really don't think Dragic would've improved the way he did last year on this Rockets team. He's too similar to Harden. He would've probably had a year similar to the year before, which was almost identical to Lin's numbers. I don't really think it was a mistake personally.

Not your fault, and you're probably right (if we can't hit the home run now, we waste two years and tread water and pray Durant's friendship with Harden is strong enough to lure him here), but I am SO sick of that word.

How nice it would have been to have Dragic and our 2015 pick.

Let's say we trade the Lin TPE and NOP 1st for Dragic.

    So essentially:

    Out: Lin, Parsons, Asik

    In: Dragic, Ariza, Dorsey

I'd say we improved.....perhaps significantly. Try to package what you have left for a good PF and you could be in great shape.
