Honestly I wouldn't want Rubio or Rondo, neither can shoot worth a damn making them a terrible fit for this team. It's obvious we need help at the PG spot, but I would hope for someone who is a better fit than either of those two.

I know, i'v been beat to hell as a Rocket fan, the last thing we need is another disappointment and unreached expectation.

Lets go King Drew! Lets go Rockets, lets hope this is real and that were about to enter happy times.

Bro, there's a lot more then just shooting in basketball.

I know that our "system", but our system sucks. Yes stretching the floor is important when you have guys who operate in the paint like Howard and Harden. I know that, but elite passing to set up our superstars is just as important, a PG to control the tempo and game is just as a good shooter.

Great points about why PHX has little reason to want to trade Dragic, let alone to the Rockets for Jones & the Pelicans late lottery pick. Also with the morris twins I doubt the Suns will have much desire for TJones.

Regarding Love, I recall the reasons why there has been little Love, Dragic discussion was, neither Love or his agent, has list PHX as a destination he would resign/opt in at. Secondly while Dragic may be better than Klay, Minnesota would gain little by swapping one UFA to be for another. Both Love and Dragic will be UFA unless the Wolves can convince either one to opt in, which seems doubtful. Atleast with Klay the wolves will have the option of matching Klays offer.

Fair point, but I just feel like if we had a PG as bad at shooting the ball as Rondo or Rubio that guys would play off of them and clog those passing lanes and even elite passers like Rondo or Rubio would be neutralized. IMO Beverley is better for the Rockets than Rondo would be simply because Rondo's shooting is a joke and his defense isn't THAT much better than Bev's.

So Rubio is your third star? I'm not buying that. It reeks of panic move, though I'm sure Minny would love to avoid having to overpay him, especially if they could get talent & picks in return.

And how does adding Rubio help our bench? Or help with the starting four?

Because he sets them up well. Rubio keeps everyone in constant motion. Howard gets the ball early in the clock rather than burning 10 seconds swinging everyone over to the opposite side of the floor. Ariza and Harden get more open looks. TJones gets tons of lobs.

My guess is Morey believes the shooting stuff can be fixed.

You did and he is, but to those asking what good would a non-shooting PG do for this team, ever heard of Jason Kidd?

The Rockets don't really need a ball dominant point guard since Harden isn't a great off the ball player. Having Rondo or Rubio here is pointless because both guys would receive a lot of money but have a lot of the same skills as Harden. On defense? They'd be a big help. But it be a mess on offense because you'd either be turning Harden into a spot up shooter or you'd be playing 4 on 5 with Harden handling the ball (because neither Rubio or Rondo can keep the defense honest with their shot).

We're much better off with a cheaper guy who can play defense and stretch the floor. Rondo's a great player. Rubio's a decent starter. But neither fit with Harden.

Yeah....he's actually not a terrible 3 point shooter (mid-30s). He's a horrific finisher at the rim.

Jeez, y'all are still getting trolled by King Drew?

Nothing is going down anytime soon. Who are we gonna trade? Jones? Asking price for an upgrade at PG is much higher than what we have.
