TJones is very talented and did a lot of good things for us. We will have a temporary setback with him gone, but I think the Rockets organization believes that DMo is emerging.

I think Morey's approach is to fill up the remaining positions one by one. It's okay to take a temporary step back in order to check off another position off his list (PG).

I'm sort of confused why Phoenix would be anxious to trade him. Bledsoe & Gogi showed last year that they can play together and Gogi is more of a scoring guard anyways.

He's definitely opting out next Summer, but that doesn't mean he's going anywhere. He's just going to look to get paid.

Next Summer Phoenix could have as many as THREE lottery picks. Is the Pelle's pick really going to be that much of a draw for them in the trade package? Terrence Jones? You going to trade him, and then you have a massive hole at PF that you can't make up in free agency & likely don't have the pieces to trade for one.

All this being said... Why aren't more people discussing a Love for Dragic swap? Dragic might be a better player right now than Klay Thompson and Andrew Wiggins. There is no guarantee that Love will resign in Phoenix, but they have alot more avenues available to upgrade around Love/Bledsoe.

Id love to have Gogi back guys, but I just don't see the Rox having the assets to make it worthwhile. They might be able to make a run at him in free agency next Summer of course, but will they have the full max to offer him if free agency makes him overpaid similar to Parsons this year?

Put me in the Rubio camp. It's not so much how good Rubio is as how good he would make Dwight and Harden look. Both are elite finishers...Rubio is an elite setup man.

I tend to agree that we lack the assets for Love. But with Rubio asking for 5/80, our ability to take back salary, NOP pick, and a few other assets, we could probably get a deal done.

Just depends how committed Minnesota is to Rubio long term.

 

No i do not. I think dragic is the better player who will not put up anything near his phoenix numbers if he is on a team with two superstars.

Geez.. I know Morey loved Rubio in the draft years ago, but that doesn't mean anything now. Morey would take a flyer on him for cheap but that's about it.

Rubio is an elite passer, rebounder and defender.

Lin is a meh passer, meh rebounder and meh defender. Both Rubio and Lin are good at attacking and finishing in the paint. Lin is a better shooter then Rubio.

I'd love Rubio.
