Why would we need assets to get Boozer? He was amnestied, so doesn't that mean we just have to have cap space for him? I'm not sure what the Suns are looking for in regards of a S&T for Bledsoe.
Why can't we bid on Boozer? We have cap space? I don't fully know the rules in regards to amnestied players.
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p>If you need cap space for amnesty bid on Boozer, thus have to forfeit Lin trade exception ($8.4M) and MLE, that's a very high price to pay.</p>— ClutchFans (@clutchfans) <a href="https://twitter.com/clutchfans/statuses/489157679592398848">July 15, 2014</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
Can someone help me understand why we have to forfeit both? That's completely not worth it if it's going to cost THAT much to bring him in.
That's one thing that I will give a 0% chance of happening. He won't make it past amnesty bidding, and we won't forfeit all of our exceptions (MLE, BAE, TPEs) just for Boozer.
Doesn't he only have this year, then next year as a PO though? He would most likely opt out, which would maintain our cap flexibility still. But, I still don't think we would be able to pry away Dragic from the Suns.
It's Ricky Rubio believe it or not people. Morey has had the biggest "excuse my language" hard on for Rubio since 2009. Morey was willing to gut the whole roster for him. Now I think we land Rubio in a trade that involves kevin love going somewhere else.
You need cap space to bid on an amnestied player. Which means you can't be eligible for the MLE, LLE, BAE, or use the TPE if you under the cap. Can only be one or the other.
I don't know if we could swing him, but if we do, I want the credit for mentioning him several days ago. Don't know what it would take, though.
Can't believe y'all are buying in to the "Drew" hype, chances are nothing major happens between the start of the season.
no Well since MN has said they plan on keeping him and build around him shows it would take a lot of assets
