He makes it sound like it is imminent, but other than him, you don't hear any bigger social media guys reciprocating. I don't doubt Drew as an insider, but maybe he is echoing the every day GM. They are always working on something. Hopefully when he says close, that it is indeed close.
I'm afraid Drew is just reading into casual conversations that Morey might be having, and taking them to mean much more. I hope I'm wrong, but don't we typically get a lot more noise than this if there was a major trade? To be fair though, both the Harden deal and the Artest deal came completely out of left field. It seems like the Rockets let their free agent intentions become known well in advance, but their trade workings are kept locked in a vault.
