    I wonder how true this actually is. Is he really talking to the Rockets or did the Rockets just reach out to him and there wasn't any interest there.

    I doubt it's that at all honestly. The Cavs have no exceptions to make any offers. They are offering a league minimum deal at this point. Allen can't push that up by using leverage.

    More likely is one of two scenarios:

    1) Allen is decided between part/all of Rockets MLE or BAE, or Vet min with Cavs or retirement

    2) The Rockets discussed Allen when it looked like they would add Bosh and it's not even in play anymore.
