I too enjoy seeing movies for $4 at Texas City.. But man it's scary. I nearly got mugged one time when I went to see a midnight premier.
The Penultimate Mohicans was the original title. Too many people thought it was about the best ones, not the next to last, so they had to change it.
I agree. I've had Moviepass for about 18 months and i've seen over 140 movies. I mostly go to the AMC 30 on Dunvale or the Edwards on Weslayan. Teenagers and little kids make the most noise at the theater.
I dont understand white people who complain about black folks talking in movie theaters, and then turn around and watch a DVD with the director's commentary. Not to mention the popularity of MST3K. Sometimes when I watch a scary movie in the theater, I really really really want to yell "go the other way you idiot!" at certain spots, but don't got the guts to do it. I'm pretty happy when a black person does it, because needing to yell those words or at least hear them is like a damn itch that needs to be scratched
i went to see Edge of Tomorrow a couple weeks after the release. we were in a small theater and about 1/4 full. we sat in the second to the top row and noticed teenagers sitting right behind us. that should have been my first clue we were in trouble. this one guy and girl whispered back and forth throughout the previews and continued whatever conversation they were having 20 mins into the movie. i couldn't take it anymore, turned around in my most polite voice asked them if they mind, we're trying to listen to the movie. they kept pretty quiet the rest of the time until 30 min left when their entire group decided they didn't want to finish watching the movie and just up and left. i don't get it. oh, and they were hispanic.
Wasn't that originally titled The Last of the Mohican's: Part Deux: Electric Boogaloo before test audiences rejected it?
I saw Edge of Tomorrow at AMC Gulfpointe 30 the weekend before last. The theater was nearly sold out, which even though we were in a small theater was surprising given it's been out so long and we went at like a 5:00pm showing. I thought, aww damn, this is gonna suck. People will talk throughout, which doesn't bother me as much as other people, but then my wife will become displeased and I'll either have to do something about it or deal with my wife being annoyed. But it turned out to be a great audience. Everyone just STFU and watched the movie. There was, however, a fist fight that broke out in the lobby when we walked in. This was just a few seconds after my mom said, "This theater has really gone down hill." They were white guys fighting over some crackwhore-looking lady.
Little kid kept taking during Apes. I would turn and his mom would shush him, but after five minutes he would start again. I think Hispanic.
