    "Good luck Houston"

Ok, so if you're a Rockets fan, you have a funny way of showing it. So what does that leave us? Mavs, Spurs?

"this is a world of "what have you done for me, lately?"

Yep. And in the last two years we've added two of the best players in the NBA, and let an overpaid, slightly better than average starting SF leave, along with two overpaid, albeit useful, backup players. We also still have room to make moves in this and future seasons.

I'd say "lately" we've done pretty well. Unless you mean missing out on players we never actually signed? That's like saying, "Man, I scored these two crazy hot chicks the last two times I went out but this time I struck out and had to go home alone". Sounds awful.

From the way I read it, he took it personally that we wanted a third elite player. Yes, if you read in between the lines it could mean that the entire team (Parsons included) was not good enough yet, hence the need for a third star. Was Lin offended by that? Was Pat? Harden? Howard? All those guys knew we were chasing other stars. Heck, Chandler probably was not packaged in a trade because we WANTED to keep him. Pretty sure we INTENDED to keep him until he priced himself out of the plan.

Had the Mavs offered him 8mil/yr. he'd still be here. Would he still feel offended then? According to his comments on his timeline, yes.

The root cause of this is that Chandler views himself as a star/franchise/max player, and the Rockets did not. No need for offense on either side if that's the case. And for the record, if it comes down to that I agree with the Rockets.

Agree. If Parsons had raised his game and stepped up in the playoffs, Morey might have decided he was a good enough #3 guy to roll with and matched the Mavs' offer.

Instead, Morey thought it over and said, "With CP as our #3, we will NEVER see the finals." Good call.

Forgot Ariza. And Brooks seemed not to mind.

Parsons said he wasn't going to recruit until he he knew what his contract situation looked like. I'm betting Dan Fegan also advised him against recruiting for the Rockets.

Melo coming here would've taken Parsons spot. And before someone says Melo could've played the 4, I saw it mentioned a while back that Melo does not prefer to play the 4.

I got a kick out of the idea that Parsons brought Dwight to Houston. If that's the case why didn't Howard come to Houston the first time around? Oh wait, that beard dude wasn't here yet. Chandler may have played a factor and lead a charge, but Howard isn't here without Harden.

Yes you did. Next time shut your mouth and respect your team and his fans.

Parsons needs to go to salary cap school.

He was a piece and we were gonna match if we got Bosh or the price was reasonable.

I'm so sick of people regurgitating this baseless nonsense. Oh yeah bro, no one wants to play in Houston. Not Harden, not Howard. There isn't anyone.

Any sightings of Parsons car shopping? Really curious if he is going to buy Foreign or Domestic.

I guess Fegan told him to backtrack a bit from his absurd statements, after a deluge of blowback, no doubt. The guy was my favorite player on the Rocks, and it's been very painful to know that what I thought was a modicum of ego on display in Houston was actually tamped down, turning into an explosion of bragging about himself, an explosion of ego, all the while denigrating the team that drafted him and brought him along, giving him the chance to be a starter after a few games in his rookie season. Something a lot of coaches wouldn't have done, in my opinion, for a rookie that was 2nd round pick. We gave him his chance, then we let him out of his contract a year early so he could get his big payday. Something I will continue to bring up in every thread I see about the disappointing *******, until he publically says how grateful he is to the Rockets organization for letting him out of that contract early.

Yes, you are an egomaniac as well as an *******, Parsons, and you had me fooled completely. Me and a hell of a lot of other fans of the Rockets. So go **** yourself, and while you're at it... hell, I'll leave it at that.

Don't forget how Ariza left the second-round Wiz to return to the Rox.
