I think Morey is holding true to his word: "you gotta be the organisation that finds the maximum contract players, not the one that pays them the max". He's trying to see if his former gems pay off :p

Seriously, who can defend these signings????

his rebounding percentages were similar when he was in the nba. He was just immature and lost on the court. I think he will contribute but the ft percentage makes Howard look like calvin. Sweet jesus!

there are people all over this board who will defend these signings while missing entirely the context of what this offseason was to be about.

Bev became a stud while overseas, why can't Dorsey have improved his game? Give it a chance.

Too late of a signing IMO.

We really needed Joey to smack some sense into Parsons before the signing.

Direct at Cuban and Parsons: JOEY, smash!

They are minimum contract signings. Why not see what can happen?

The Spurs do this all the ****ing time and people here suck their ****s like it's going out of style.

For forwards in the NBA strength is a big part of defense. I'm assuming Dorsey got better in Europe. As for his skills I doubt they're bringing him in for his jump hook.

People are still disappointed...which is more than understandable considering how high our hopes were raised. These sorts of names aren't exactly hallmarks of the kind of offseason most of us were hoping the Rockets were about to have.

Dorsey brings toughness and physicality, but the signing could also help team chemistry, especially if Papanikolaou comes over.

Too much brawn and muscle, less finesse

    Could have used Gasoft

All Morey wants is dunks and 3's anyway.

Sounds just like Spurs fans every year until last year. Always taking shots at Pop and RC because they go after retreads and Euros...till it works out.

Time to get over losing out and start thinking about what we can improve on.

Well, we surely improved rebounding and low post defense, could sign more Arizas for perimeter D, and some Pattersons for pick and roll D.

Could use good Free throw shooters, more distributors (Ish Smith, Hinrich, Teague.....Nelson, Augustin?!)

Pretty low cost. But I expect signings like this to be such that they are easy to trade. We have to wonder about any contracts being signed. If the right deal comes along, ANY of the people signed since the Bosh deal fell through is suspect to being traded. There's that pesky "asset" idea again.
