Hayes was 6'5 close to 6'6, everyone knew about the Modesto Mauler

I think Chuck's closer to 6'5", maybe 6'6" with shoes. We'll be lucky if Dorsey gives us half of what Chuck did.

So this offseason so far we have :

    Dorsey to replace Asik
Ariza + Papa to replace Parsons

    what's next?
Rafer coming back to replace Lin?

Can't wait for the exciting season ahead of us.

In fairness, wasn't the GARM calling for a bruiser off the bench that could just come in for the sole purpose of dishing out punishment?

Maybe Morey's plan is to tell Dorsey "I want to pay you to come in as soon as Parsons & Bosh are in the game and foul them so hard they feel it for the rest of the week."

Maybe, who knows. Or he's making an assets cache for a big trade.

A short version of Greg Smith... without the talent (however limited)...

More like Dorsey to replace Greg Smith.

We'll probably sign Blatche to replace Asik.

I just meant on the boards. Dorsey on the boards. I doubt Dorsey can do the defensive part that Hayes did.

Oh while you guys on this, keep in mind that we can still have Powell.

Maybe years later we will hear an interview with Morey regarding the 2014-2015 Rockets season:

" That was really a very difficult decision for me to make, to keep Powell or Dorsey."

I know I am in the minority but I absolutely love this signing especially at that price.

    Welcome Back Joey Dorsey

If we can get between 5-6 ppg, 7-8 rpg, 05-1.0bpg...then we have found Omer's replacement.

If the Rockets fully give Dorsey the back up Center role, what I expect from Dorsey...
    3.5 ppg, 7.8rpg, 0.9bpg in about 20 minutes...

    btw...Dorsey is like 6'6" or 6 7" with shoes...lol

Yes he could, its just that he was vertically challenged. When it was time to face the real PFs, they just shot over the top of him. I liked the chuck wagon, but he couldn't survive long in the paint like that. He wasn't a leaper so he could not finish amongst traffic around the paint. Looks like JD can get up and go hard at the rim. That's all he will need to do. Set a screen and roll to the basket for a alley-oop or catch the pocket pass and go dunk it. Do that and be physical on defense for 10 -15 mins a game (use up his fouls)
