That's a fun narrative for you, but it's false.

    1. See very few saying Ariza is pound for pound better than Parsons, but most of us believe (rightly) that Ariza is *much* better now dollar for dollar. And he offers us a few wrinkles than Parsons did not (better wing D), while also lacking things Parsons could do (dribble).

    2. Most of us are saying Parsons is a self-inflated douchebag, and that's seems born out by his comments. What Ariza has been in the past, he hasn't been a prideful DB.

    But we'll see.

EDIT, PS: If Chandler needs this as some sort of concocted extra motivation, he's again misguided. He now has 15 million reasons to have his best season yet. He has 15 million reasons from Cuban, from Dirk, and from Dallas, Oklahoma to have a superlative all-star season. We'll see, yep.

They misplayed their hand by letting you become a FA. The team wanted you, but the team also knew they needed something more. Lowry or Bosh would have made us the a top 3 team in the NBA.

I don't know why, but anytime someone points out a player with problems dribbling it cracks me up. I know that it's true, but it kills me that dribbling can be a problem for NBA players lol.

It's easy to say you're a "star" in July. We'll see in November.

Morey should've known to choose his words wisely. He should have told Parsons we are looking to acquire a 4th Superstar.

I thought it was dumb for Morey to talk about the team's lack of a third star during the season. That was a straight insult to a young, clearly immature but very talented young player. Morey needs sensitivity training based on his track record when discussing players in the media. NBA coaches are now taught that it's a players' league and managing egos is just as important as the X's and O's so why is our GM constantly dehumanizing players in the media? Bottom line, I would have taken offense to Morey's words if I was Parsons.

That said, the kid's ego seemed to explode over the course of last season and that seems to have accelerated under the mentorship of Cuban. I thought he could have developed rapidly into the third best player on a championship team with the right guidance but maybe I was wrong. He may not have the mental makeup to make the next step.

Adios, Chandler. Morey, watch your mouth.

Well yeah the contract determines everything. If you go from rookie wage to max the obv you go to fan favorite to do not want.

    Wow the guy is dumb.

Always thought he had vvery little between the ears but it's proven now.

Is he not aware that Dallas were in the Melo stakes too? Dallas had Melo visit them the same day he visited the Rockets...

What has he done to merit the "superstar" status? Recruited Howard?

Lol rather than get butthurt about what Morey calls you why don't he let his game do the talking? Was it wrong for Morey to NOT consider him in the same playing field as Bosh or Carmelo? You want to be called a superstar Chandler? Well you got 3 years to prove it in Dallas.

Plus Donnie Nelson has already said he knows they "overpaid" for Parsons. I hope he gets some butthurt out of that stinging insult as well.

Well, yes, when you look at the year Ariza just had.

-Better three point shooting AND hits threes at a high clip from all over as opposed to corners only.
    -Almost elite defender

To say he is a better fit than Parsons was next to James and Dwight is not a stretch at all.

The Spurs kicked a guy off their team a cpl weeks before the playoffs because he said he was better than Gino and Green. The reality is role players who don't realise they're role players are liabilities. No team does role player better than San Antonio because they were the first team to get that and all that it encompasses.

Wow. I mean Lin, probably has the better case to be offended, but all he did was put out a tweet. Parsons went to the media with this. I mean, I thought it was all business? No wonder he signed that offer sheet as soon as he could.

Agreed but Morey drafted the kid and probably knows him well. Surely, he knew kid is immature and needed some ego-stroking. That's the way players are these days. NBA coaches can win 50+ games and get fired anyway if they rub players the wrong way. I expect our GM to recognize this and act accordingly.

Daryl was honest with him about everything from the get-go. If he's offended by the truth, so be it. We don't view him as a 3rd star on a championship contender. That's rare air. The Mavs do. Oh well.

If Parsons truly wanted to stay a Rocket, he wouldn't have negotiated that player option. He knows that's a no-go for Morey. We may have matched if not for that. The trade-kicker was one thing, but a player option is a lose-lose for any franchise.

The fact that Morey told him to go get the best deal he could and is genuinely happy for him is all you can ask for. Chandler signing the deal in a nightclub with Cuban and instagraming it all over the place was the only unprofessional thing that happened by either party.

He has improved each season here. But what I am saying is bend the truth a little. Tell the man what he wanted to hear.
