agreed with everything. even I, just some scrub in idaho knew that parsons needed to sit in the back and let morey work. get that 3rd star and then turn around and show some love. Did he really expect Morey to look at bosh, lebron, melo, and say "we have chandler. thats enough." We had a very rare opportunity to get a player and play above the restrictive cap hold.

A little bit more than 24 hours again, Parsons was the golden boy and everyone here was begging Morey to match his contract. And now he's a dbag, a scrub, and the worst human being in the universe. Typical Rockets fans. Lol.

Morey only does something if it helps the rockets. He let parsons out bc he thought he could have him long term under a more manageable contract as oppose to letting him become an unrestricted free agent the next year.

well, he is human after all, and the way Morey runs it, it is not surprising at all that Asik, Lin and now Parsons were all "offended" one way or another. you can't reach the NBA without having a bit of ego, so hard to blame Parsons for being offended. being grateful to the breaks he was given as a Rocket is whole different thing from getting your ego or your bubble burst.

BUT it's really a head scratcher how he thinks so highly of his bball talent AND his recruiting skills. and this is not a one off thing, he has been quoted repeatedly about his belief in his own game, and the portland series failures does not seem to have dampened this one bit.

Does anyone read articles anymore? From the FIRST POST:

Despite feeling slighted by the Rockets, Parsons said he has "nothing but respect" for his former club after playing his first three NBA seasons in Houston. He also said he will remain close with his ex-teammates, Houston coach Kevin McHale and assistant coach J.B. Bickerstaff.

"They gave me my first opportunity,” Parsons said. "They believed in me. They drafted me. I have nothing but love and respect for them. They will have a special place in my heart. The fans were unbelievable and I hope they have no hard feelings. I had to do what is best for my career. "

What's incorrect about it? He was with the Mavs in 2002 and 2003. Both of those years he was an all star. Hence 2 time all star.

You can't drag the org through the mud publicly and then say you have "nothing but love and respect."

Not sure. As you know, LeBron was never the highest-paid player on his team. And D-Wade sure didn't whine about LeBron being #1, even though Wade had a ring and LeBron didn't; and Wade is way better than Parsons. Wade decided to get some more rings instead of bolting to another team to get that "#1" tag.

You think morey did it for Parsons?? I sincerely doubt it. I expect he was hoping to lock him up for a longer 3-4 year contract at about 10mil or so.

This is exactly what I said in the Chandler Parson anti-appreciation thread I created.

This is what I'm thinking. If the fan base is so fickle and the front office obviously has no loyalty then why would he be expected to happily concede his spot for the betterment of the team? P

That's like saying a racist comment after saying, "I dont mean to be racist, but..."

Don't see where Ellis has a player option, every thing I see show it vests as a binding salary. That gives the Mavericks about $40,000 million locked up among 4 players... Means 11 players have about $22,000 to split, and not all will be one year deals. I could see the Mavericks add another couple veteran role players at 3-4 million a year to help them. The point is, even if the Mavericks have 15 million available (after cap holds) they will not have a starting or back up center. It would be very hard to sign a near max player and rely on a million dollar center. Ultimately the Parsons deal hamstrings them the next few years.

Remember when Asik was pouting over losing his starting spot to Dwight and Parsons said something along the lines of "he needs to be professional"? I knew he'd be pissed if we got Melo and Parsons became a backup. We tried to make a run for Melo (and 29 other teams would do the same) and he's already whining, what a hypocrite.

It's great that he viewed himself as a star, but wouldn't you consider 4 stars better than 3. Should've just let Morey work.
