...so my girlfriend of 4 years who was my fiance of 6 months cheated on me and left me for her coworker. Now she put up a match.com profile and talking to lots of random men. Isn't life grand?
The same exact thing happened to me with my ex girlfriend, good thing I never proposed. Cheated on me with her co worker and eventually broke up with him and went on a ho spree with other guys.
Not making light of it, but it could be far worse. You were not married and do not have children. You can just move on and have no baggage. Also, go get an STD test. I seriously doubt her coworker was her first sexual encounter with someone else while you have been dating. Sounds like she is a pro, there are a certain number of women that take all comers. Move on, you deserve better and it wasn't meant to be.
Sorry to hear that, OP. I can commiserate with you. I was with my fianceƩ for five years and she left me last summer because her family despised my religion. Just found out today she has a new man. He looks like me, has similar taste in movies/music/books, and her friends AND family love him (same religion as her smh). I don't what bothers me more: how easily she found a replacement as if I were some widget 'Made in China', that she has a new man in her life, or that focusing on myself and my career after the breakup made me financially healthy and mentally occupied, but lonely. If you were wise enough to hold on to your friends, it's time to go out with them and meet new people. I lost touch with most of my friends so it's been difficult for me. Good luck.
This is the truth. To share some perspective - I was once dating this girl who I really liked. I always, however, had this nagging feeling that there was something being kept from me. Anyway, she had this best friend (a girl) who I had never really come in contact with due to whatever reasons she had given me at the time. Eventually I assumed she was cheating on me with some other guy. So I kind of preemptively broke things off. But I actually still really wanted this girl. I knew it wouldn't happen so I was like eh. Fast forward to a year later. I'm talking to this girl I've just met. Well. This chick is bi. And she's describing one of her exes to me. The description sounds so familiar to me. Then it dawns upon me. She's talking about my ex. Lmao. So the girl I was having a convo with ends up being the "best friend" that my ex had. She explains to me that they were actually dating and she had this nagging feeling that my ex was cheating on her. So she broke it off. Sound familiar? After talking more we realized what happened was that when she and my ex were together she cheated on her with me. Since this girl could never confirm that happened she remained friends with my ex. Later on (I'm guessing because she just got some thrill out of it) my ex cheated on me with some other guy. I actually straight up asked my ex once if she was bi and she heavily denied it. For obvious reasons now. But I did not expect that plot twist. So all in all I was the guy my ex cheated on with talking to the girl that had been cheated on by my ex. I'm sure those two are still "friends" to this day. Hilarious situation in retrospect. I didn't actually care. **** happens. A good life lesson to be learned on just how deceptive and manipulative people can be. I'd like to think I am pretty perceptive about these sorts of things and broke it off before I got too deep into it. But I was still obviously fooled for a bit. So don't feel too bad man. You dodged a bullet.
if it was seven years ago, i'd say to you go house of cards on her. now, too old for this sh... i will say it's best you found out before marrying her. No matter how bad things seem right now, you will eventually find happiness.
