I feel like we're pursuing Monroe in order to send him to ATL for Millsap.

No idea how we could possibly land him though - unless the Pistons are interested in NOLA pick + D-Mo and Monroe is willing to have a starting salary of $8.2m and Millsap agrees to extend before the trade.

    That's a lot of if's.

Monroe is like Asik with harden defense.

The Bucks are trying very hard to move Ersan, I want draft considerations if I am giving my TPE for Ersan... basically takes him off the cap for Bucks.

I know there are posters on here who post our cap numbers ad infinitum and I don't quite absorb it all, but I think if we waive our cap detritus, a deal of Terrence Jones + Capela OR the N.O. pick could get Greg Monroe a deal his agent wants.

Phoenix or some such team might trump us.

IF there's even any validity to any of this, mind you.

So a perfect storm of lousy offense and lousy defense. Oh, he's perfect.

Good lord, could he possibly be that bad?

I like the idea of him joining our team, but he had his moments where he played like absolute crap also.

What? Monroe has much more of an offensive game than Asik.

I don't think Monroe would be as bad on D as Jones would. 6'11 250, he has good size.

Not true. Asik handles the basketball as if it's a medicine ball dipped in vegetable oil.

Monroe has some skills on the offensive end.

His 2012-13 season was his statistical best: 16 points, 9 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 1 steal.

He's probably kind of plodding for a power forward, although his high-post game might match well with Dwight's low-post game.

IF there's even any validity to this, mind you.

Ilyasova is a contract worth taking on. Will be very tradeable next summer if need be and he could really re-boost his value here as a starter.

He's a really good player and could be had for cheap.

If you can get Ilysaova for the TPE and nothing important they should do it. He can rebound and shoot 40% from behind the 3 point line. He was struggling with some nagging injuries last year and was on the worst team in the NBA. I'd say everybody's effort on that team could have been questioned last year. We also don't have any contracts in that range other than Ariza now and you'll need them in order to make salaries work on larger trades most likely. We lost that when we traded Lin and Asik. Not to mention, if he reestablishes his value, he would be considered an asset. Low risk, high reward acquisition. He was really good the previous two years.

Sam Amic just tweeted that the bucks are shopping Ilyasovsa "hard". Maybe Morey can work some magic. I honestly don't know his game. Never seen him play but I like his measurables. Can he play defense?

Monroe is good in the post and handles the ball way better than asik, ill give you that. What I meant was, monroe would be like asik, next to howard, he can't shoot the ball, he's not a threat away from the basket to free up howard in the post. He also gets blown by on defense like harden. So he's like asik with harden defense. Unless wed get use him as the backup 5 but I'd rather just run with dmo in that case.

Why would the Pelicans want Greg Monroe?

I'm pretty sure Morey would ask for a second rounder in return. It wouldn't be Morey if he didn't.

Setting up the three team deal. More than likely we're signing him to trade him to Boston for Rondo
