    How do we know that? Dude is 22 years old. He's played one full season in the NBA. Why is everyone nothing more than an asset to Morey? How about giving these players a couple years at least before giving up on them or trying to flip them for the hope of signing someone better?

    Did I hear him say that the main reason for not matching the Parson's contract was that it was untradeable and so restrictive of future moves?

    It was a two part answer:

    1) Chandler is not the 3rd piece.
    2) Chandler's contract was the worst he had ever seen in terms of trades

    It's called spin. It sounded like they were interviewing a politician. C'mon. Morey seriously thinks this team will be better than last year by the time they reach the playoffs? They might not even make the playoffs next season.

    Sounds like DM is looking at Dec and Feb trade deadlines to upgrade. "We'll be better by playoffs". Could mean growth of youth but it's clear he's looking for an elite upgrade and will have to if he's serious about being better this season.
