To be honest I expected more from you DD lol we have two top 15 players and you post a thread asking if the Rox are about winning? Then you go and say you don't want them to be Stockton and Malone but you conveniently forgot this is how we got DH and Harden in the first place. Harden and Howard weren't lucked through the draft, they were obtained by building up assets and making the team desirable by not having overpaid players. You were at the forefront of the Fire Morey movement a couple of years ago and when the Harden trade happened and the Howard signing I thought you learned your lesson, not really about doubting Morey (dude isn't perfect that Melo chase bleagh), but the importance of cap space and having assets on the team. Paying tax has zero effect on winning a ring, Miami and the Spurs haven't paid tax in years are they not about winning? What does affect winning is collecting assets you can cash in for a star and cap space so you can sign said star. We've proven that with Harden and Howard. Both we've also seen teams pay undeserving players like Rashard Lewis and Larry Hughes the max in the interest of winning. How'd that work out for them?
Ros, But once we got Harden and Howard everything changed, it becomes all about winning NOW, and not necessarily about cap flexibility. Especially because Howard can OPT OUT after next year, which will be a given if we don't improve or get closer to a championship. Signing Parsons got us closer already because we had another year of chemistry together and a chance for Dmo and Jones to get better and for us to replace our bench...instead we got rid of our bench and we lost out starting SF and replaced him with a guy who is WAY worse, that is not progress, that is CONgress. DD
Nothing I said is wrong whatsoever. Value is subjective. That's true to an extent. The factors that determine value, however, are fairly consistent in a highly regulated league such as the NBA. If that Bosh contract and the Parsons contract aren't viewed as bad values down the line, I will tip $20 to the tip jar.
Oddly enough, as much as you all are freaking out and assuming the sky is falling, Dwight has been confidently calm. So, you don't really know that.
We went from having one hole in the starting line up and depth to having 2 holes and no depth. There better be more coming this off season or my grade for this offseason is F.
Him doing anything else would be unprofessional and would add to the stigma against him already, but if you think he's going to be sold on "roster flexibility" instead of contention when it comes time for his option, you are sadly mistaken. The whole "just wait till we get that 3rd star one of these days, it's going to be awesome" line only works for just so long. Hopefully Morey completely blundering the off-season and making the team worse is just a one time thing, if next off-season is anywhere near this disastrous, he needs to be looking for a new job. If he hadn't done so well leading up to this, he'd be looking for a job already.
It is FACT. He can opt out after NEXT season, not this one coming up, the NEXT one after this one. DD
I see, so you dont know what next season means either. Nice. You should teach a class in remedial fantasy GM studies. You seem to have a few followers. Go rockets!! Time for rookies and eurostash to step up. Time for Howard and Hardin to step up in playoffs next year. CP was a non factor vs Portland last year and OKC the year before. He wont be missed.

LOL, when you start to see Ariza's limitations as a player and when he inevitably misses time to injury like he does every year and when he fails to live up to the lofty expectations people have for him due to his career year last year you'll miss Parsons.
Oh please You were all over Jordan Hills nut. You never said PPat was our best PF Hypocrite You're just using this oppurtinunty to bash the org. Just say it. You thought Jordan Hill was our best PF, not PPat Look, I was the #1 PPat on this, not Car Herrera, so I remember all those post. Your post here is not escaping the facts when I'm reading here Don't make me pull threads
Terrific. Look, I don't give a rat's ass that Casspi's gone, but the fact that even the coach doesn't have a clue who's been dealt is very troubling. Does Morey talk to anyone in the organization about these things?
There's no question that he blundered this off-season badly, but he built up enough credit in all the good things he's done in previous off-seasons to where he gets to have an absolute disaster of on off-season where he hurts the team, but not two. He needs to bounce back strong next off-season and make the team better instead of just preserving flexibility.
I agree with the first part of what you said. On the other hand, I believe that the flexibility that you lot seem to want to throw at one role player will soon (within this year) be used on better options to shore up depth at multiple positions. Yes, you're right man. Having done great from 08-13 should lead to him being fired because one off-season has gone poorly (thus far) largely due to Chris Bosh being an underhanded snake.
