    True ^^

C'mon guys, this may be the worst case scenario for this moment but we have to stay positive ... We're adding a true 3 & D guy to our starting lineup and there is a lot of time left for other pieces and upgrades (this offseason and at the trade deadline).. The 2014 puzzle isn't complete yet

I'm mad he signed so early with the Mavs, but we got a capable replacement at half the price.

    Good luck to him.

Stop being emo this will never happen. Look at their roster and u see they will win 1 playoff series next season and that's it for 3 years.

    Watch.

Who else is on that team besides Dirk's old ass?

He has a coach that is 1000 times better and will utilize his strengths.

A player getting that much money will get every opportunity to put up points, hence...he will be.

The mavs wont win for 5-6 years now because of this move. They are slowing demon the rebuilding process, and now they are cap strung.

I wonder how he's going to handle the money/expectations and pressure in Dallas next year? Should be interesting to watch

    So many impatient people. Geez.

Excuse me but did you SERIOUSLY think that with the line up last year we would win a world championship ?

Stop worrying about the future and consider what we were just 2 years ago.
Dwight Howard is your starting center.

More to come. I guess a lot of folks would freak out and throw money at Parsons.
I'm glad your not paying the bills. We just upgraded one of our biggest flaws.
We still have room to move. The game is not over. Scoring was never the problem.

The NBA season is how many months away ? And the trade deadline ?

Eh, I think Cuban was using Parsons to try to f* our cap situation and limit our options in FA. Well, he did screw up our FA a bit, but our cap options will remain open. Now the clock isn't ticking like it was before this announcement...

The Mavs, OTOH, are now going to be saddled with that horrendous contract; I really don't think Cuban expected us to let Parsons go. I think he saw that we didn't want to include Parsons in trades for Love or Rondo, so he assumed we valued Parsons enough to pay up. NOT. And now he's stuck with the bill and the Mavs won't have enough to add any more stars for the rest of Dirk's career. They've damned themselves to mediocrity for the next few years with this contract - just as we likely would have done had we kept Parsons.

So now, Morey found the closest thing to a Parsons replacement on the market (and a better defender, BTW) for a bit more than half of what Parsons would have cost, so the talent hit is nearly a wash. We were losing Asik anyway, and Lin's contract needed to be gone. We have lots of flexibility moving forward and enough space to add a big name when the opportunity arises.

I will miss Chandler at the same time I boo him for stabbing us in the back, but I understand why he did it - that's a lot of money, and it is just a business in the end. But I can completely understand why the FO isn't going to match. More needs to be done, and had we matched we'd be locked into a team that probably wouldn't be good enough to win a chip.

Morey and Les want a championship - and nothing less will suffice. Trust in Morey...

Spare me "you're on a real fan if you a blindly loyal and don't criticize the team" schtick. Morley got punked this offseason. He traded Lin before he should have and Parsons should still be a Rocket for about a million dollars. The Lin and Asik contracts would have been gold come trade deadline and we would still have our 1st round pick.

what expectations??? He's the #3 guy out there. I think it's a given he'll do more than enough as a #3 option.

Correction: PG will be Devin Harris. Word is that the Mavs want to unload Felton. I wish them luck with that...

Thank you sir. And now they are making all kinds of excuses on why we don't need him or over looking the fact that Morey could have traded him. He's about assets and got nothing for the biggest one he's ever had and let him go to Dallas to top it off.
