Nice! Let Dallas have that albatross of a contract.

Making mental notes to never take anyone seriously again who are talking about how Parsons' contract wasn't worth it. Clearly people who don't get the CBA. Who let all thee casual NBA fans in here? Ugh.

Don't understand what that has to do with what I said.

Oh and Harden was a bigger disappointment in the playoffs than Parsons was.

LOL.....Parsons didnt want to be here?? YOu telling me Chandler has been sitting around the last 3 days saying to himself "i hope houston doesn't match!!!"

If they really wanted him they could've had him for a mill on that option.

He could've been in Chandler's ear about the contract the whole time. I don't think us moving forward as a team has as much to do with Parsons as it does Howard and Harden. If Harden is going to not compete on the defensive end of the floor and disappear in the playoffs, it won't matter much anyway.

On the other side of the coin, the Mavs are pinning the last few years of Dirk on Ellis, Chandler, and Parsons to be the supporting cast. Who do you think is more pissed, Dirk or D12?

I've defended Morey for quite a while.

I really can't defend him on this one.

Not matching Parsons is stupid. And while it might give this team cap space and flexibility now... it might cost Dwight and Harden in the future.

You want to maximize your time with those guys? Make them happy.

Stein said we could still do a sign and trade if both teams decide to mutually cancel the offer and work it out with chandler still getting his agreed upon money still. Could be why we didnt wait until the last minute to decline.

    I agree.

I'm gonna come out and say it.

This is the beginning of the end of the Harden-Howard era.

Parsons peaked as a player if you ask me. Great 3rd option, don't get me wrong, but he wasn't going to get much better in Houston.

15 million is a lot, but it's what the market says he was worth. Hate to see him go.

2 years with a player option for the 3rd year is too short to be considered an albatross

Making parsons a RFA has to trump losing Dragic for the worst move Morey has made in his career. I was against it all the way, only hoping that maybe Morey knew something we didn't, that he had some kind of under the table agreement to resign parsons at a reasonable price. And hew as always so smug his offseason,a s if he knew things we didn't. Well it turns out that was just his arrogance, his unfounded pride which foretold our collective fall.

    What a Disappointment.

You really think Howard and Harden will leave because Parsons and his bloated contract are not here? Give me a break. You want to maximize your time with these guys? You put a winning team around them that will make them happy. If you're worried about players being upset because their buddy is gone then wow, I don't know what to say.
