    HE's saying they need a #3 guy who is better than Parsons. Good luck finding that. Unless you get a coach that can turn average role players into impact players, you just have to pray some all-star wants to come here.

    Parsons is not worth the contract.

    Parsons is not the 3rd best player on a championship team.

    Ariza and Parsons had almost identical PER last year.

    Asik may be the bigger loss in the end.

    If the Rockets were going to let Parsons go just like that, then they should've just traded him for Rondo this past season. SMH.:mad:

    It's more about Morey admitting the Rockets aren't a championship calibre team and their plan is no major moves this year to keep cap flexibility for 2015 free agency.

    I think it is a huge strike against Morey. Rockets have added Harden and Howard the last two years so losing Parsons should not by itself cost Morey his job.

    So basically we made a trade.

    Chandler Parsons, $1m for 1 year
    Potential to sign free agents like Hawes or Frye at stretch four which is our most pressing need or even sign Ariza if we wanted.
    Still able to go after Bosh if we wanted.

    Ariza is better than Parsons

    Caanan + Johnson is better than Lin

    Motie is better than Asik

    All we have is harden to handle the ball and two 2nd round picks

    I wish fans would stop overrating Parsons like he will be the reason we go to the finals. Parsons is not worth 15 million so great job Morey. We need defense but all the fans are worried about is how Parsons creates on offense but not how he gets beat when he's on defense.

    Ariza has played better in the playoffs than Parsons.

    Yall say what you want about him, but he's brought it in the playoffs every time it is asked of him.

    Wow...

    I don't blame Morey entirely for this. Who knew Bosh was gonna go back to Miami? That threw a MASSIVE wrench into the plans.

    I guess it will be another year of 55wins, 4th seed and mid May exit. Sucks big time but it is what it is.
