The numbers are clear: Morey is a joke.

Paint me as optimistic, but I'm actually really excited to see how our roster takes shape this year. TJones hopefully taking a step at PF, get a bruiser to backup Howard/Jones (I've seen a couple mentions of Elton Brand, who I think would be great for this young team), better defense from the 3, sharpshooting from Daniels, and hopefully we get to see some of Nick Johnson this year. Our ceiling is very high over the next two years, there's no need to be down about losing a player in Parsons who is really only worth the contract that Ariza received. We're going to see Harden and Howard take over and it's going to be exciting!

Dwight ain't getting better. Bev is what he is. Harden I supposed can't get worse on defense or in any capacity in the playoffs. Not sure about T-Jones yet. The heart's there, but he hasn't physical limitations given his size. And Ariza is about as good as he'll ever be. And don't forget. McFail is still our coach.

Watch Dwight demand a trade and Fegan mastermind a deal to Dallas after this season ends.

Morey promised to build a championship team around him and Les promised to spend.

Parsons will be calling up from Dallas sweet talking him about Cuban who doesn't go back on his words...

It definitely wasn't going to happen with $46M tied up in Parson for the next three flipping years. That's for certain. Ariza had the same PER, and better defense last year for half the price. No, he's not Chandler, but he's not chopped liver.

Dwight is smarter than you guys are giving him credit for.

Good job, Morey, for not matching. Now Cuban is screwed, not you.

why not just keep parsons for another year? let him do w/e next season. 4 years with that contract then letting him walk would've been a lot better than this. he'll get paid regardless. and its the ****n mavs, A DIVISION RIVAL! why of all the teams did the ****ing mavs have to get him? daamit!

It's a more mature, shrewd decision than I'd make. Parsons is not worth the money, but I still wanted him back.

In the end, this poisonous contract will probably hurt Dallas like the Lin contract hurt Houston. Using poison always backfires, like on The Alfred Hitchcock Hour.

I think moreys biggest problem is mchale. These players not signing here isnt so bad in my opinion, this team has two potential superstars in the end that they could build around which is enough to be a contender when coached and managed properly.

Wtf rockets is talking to the Mavs for sign and trade for a freaking te, why the **** you are hording all these te for?

Te is used to take ****ty contracts others don't want or want to offload, so this is the way you want to build the team Morey?

So you are going to use it to take D will or josh smith?

    ****ing unreal.

And to think, we were *this* close to having one on the best starting 5's in the NBA with Beverley/Harden/Parsons/Bosh/Howard.

And now we have to settle for Beverley/Harden/Ariza/Jones/Howard

I know we still have two great players, but talk about a major letdown.

Smart choice to make under the circumstances. Dwight, Harden, Ariza, Beverly.. that is not a bad squad, plus maintaining cap space. Too bad about Bosh but sometimes things just don't work out.

Still Parsons was a better player with better upside and was younger. Ariza is 29 years old and NBA players these days be past their prime by the time they reach their early 30s these days. Ariza needs a pass first point guard to set up his offense, and the Rockets only have Patrick Beverely.

So Morey is basically saying that Harden and Howard are not good enough to lead a team to a championship?
