What would it take to get a sign and trade for Dragic in play? That's still my ideal scenario, and despite how disappointing this offseason has been, I'd say it's a win if we can acquire him and Ariza, plus a minimum contract back up center.

Still quite a bummer though. Chan screwed us with that offer sheet, and Bosh screwed us by not being more up front that he was likely returning to Miami regardless of what LeBron did.

we might struggle for an 8th seed and that's just truth. Suddenly mchale is going to know how to get the best out of his players?
    ay dios mio.

We swung for the fences, and Miami hopped on the fence and stole the homer from us.

As far as I'm concerned, morey will come out on top this time like he has again and again.

Trim the fat. Omer, Lin, parsons out. Retain value contracts and true elite level talents.

    >$30mn in cap space, now time for some fun.

This roster has 2 franchise players already. Why in the world would you protect cap space for FUTURE offseason stars? Terrible decision. Morey can build a team, but I'm afraid he is too addicted to making moves. He has problems seeing what he has it seems.

The Rockets are giving up this season.

We need a poll. First round exit or 14th pick in the 2015 draft?

I am glad Morey is taking the defeatist attitude. I am pretty sure DH12 was promised championships not first round exits. Way to make your superstars happy Morey. I don't know about you guys but I am ready for another first round exit. Let's go!!!!

We won't have the space to go after big FA's anyway. The one thing that could make this better for me is a trade for Dragic and an upgrade at the 4.

Hey listen, Parsons & Ariza have almost identical PERs. If you can preserve the cap space and sign Love or Millsap next year, that's a huge win.

I honestly don't think Morey can afford to wait until then. The free agent market is so limited next year there's too great a risk to lose out again, never mind that going the flexibility route probably wouldn't go over too great with Howard & co.

This is exactly the same mistake Cuban made the year after they won the title. They let Chandler (oddly enough, share the same name) go for nothing for the sake of cap space.

The Rockets haven't just won the title but they were right there last year with some minor improvements & maturity.

This decision to opt for a free agency gamble in 2015 is beyond risky and risky right now for Morey is stupidity. If you play roulette, your eventually going to shoot yourself.

Morey definitely has a gambling problem.

I usually back up Morey, but I just can't stand behind him on this one.

    This was a stupid move.

No they swung for the fences and struck out. Instead of trying to hit a single and being happy with getting on base, they are going to try and hit a home run again with the same chance they will strike out again.

In the end, I think they are doing the opposite of "settling for mediocrity." It's about a championship, and not how many wins they get next yer.

Morey dun goofed. We could've had Parsons play for us this year for 900k, but we were afraid that he would walk away for nothing next year as an unrestricted free agent. Turns out he walked away for nothing anyway.

What the **** man, wasting a season when Howard (and Ariza) is turning 29 and is going to be in his 11th season? How ****ing stupid.

    James/Anthony/Bosh/Lowry

"No way we can miss out on all of them"

    Well we ****ing did.

    Love/Aldridge/Rondo/Dragic

"Well we can waste a season, no way we can miss out on all of them..."

**** that, we need to win now, this taking a chance **** cost us Lin, Asik, Parsons, and were going to do it again?.... damn i'm upset.
