Does anyone want a player that's going to knock down close to 50% of his 3s and have the colonies to keep pulling the trigger?

And while I won't compare his game to Ray Allen, I don't think JJ Redick is an out of reach goal for him.

there won't be any minutes for daniels if the rockets match parsons.

harden, ariza, and parsons will have all the minutes locked up at the swing positions.

it would be good to have his shooting on the bench but the main concern right now is the defense behind howard

You also don't usually find players worth $14m in the mid second round. Look how that turned out.

Look, Daniels is not going to be Ray Allen, but he is certainly going to be AT least as good as a JJ Reddick who is an important piece on a Western conference contender. Since we're not taking any steps backwards, we can only be heading for the top 3 seeds in the West, and so we NEED to start thinking about the rotational players which make the difference between the Blazers and the Clippers.

Troy Daniels is precisely that type of player, and we have a chance to keep him for a price which we are unlikely to get once he plays 82 games for a 55+ win team.

How did he act that way? He didn't even do anything, it was leaked that the Cavs were after him, not the other way around

    Yes more reasonable.

    Yes no problem there.

I like Parsons but people are way overrating him. He will never be an all star in the west. Yes an ultimate team player the "glue guy", but his numbers are inflated by out system and the minutes he plays. Compare his per 36 minute stats to Lin and you'd be surprised Parsons doesn't blow Lin's stats away except for rebounding. Yet we would never dream of giving Lin the max.

I'd like to see how Daniels does this season with the Rockets, but I'm not going to say he's going to have a great career from just seeing him in a few games at the end of the season and during the playoffs. Let's not get ahead of ourselves here and name him our 3rd or 4th star so quickly.

Your wrong. There will be plenty of minutes for Daniels. Ariza and Chandler will get almost all of the SF minutes and very likely most of the back up PF minutes. When Delfino was on the team he averaged 25 minutes a game and he and Parsons rarely saw time at SG.

Harden averaged 38 plus minutes a game the last 2 seasons. That has to stop and Daniels, Ariza, Parsons will look real good stretching the floor for D12 while the Beard is on the bench.

I think Ariza & Johnson will get minutes at SG.

We might have to end up paying "Delfino" type money to keep Daniels. Looks like Miller is being offered $3 to $4 mil.

No way Ariza plays SG any instance.

On 790 this morning, Morey was discussing whether the team would be better this year than last. He referenced young players getting better as a big part of that and said, direct quote:

"We will have Troy Daniels back."

Eh ... Offensively he can catch and shoot, come off screens, cut to the basket. He won't be one of those SG that creates for himself or others ala James Harden. But for occasions throughout the game, we can definitely get away with playing him at the two.
