But the problem is that we don't have any more quality FA left to sign with to upgrade the bench. Deng is likely sign with somewhere else. Most of the FAs are taken. So lets just match Parsons and we will only get better.

 

You suggest downgrading the roster from Parsons to Ariza AND picking up Boozer in the same post?

I'm pretty sure dwight howard and james harden are probably leaning over morey and telling him they better match parsons deal

 

We still need a 4 that won't get absolutely shredded by the LMA's of the world.

 

The question we need to ask is, can Ariza defend Aldridge? If not, it's another 1st round letdown.

 

He's worth 8 or 9. He hasn't shown anything to be worth more than that. He's not young he's 26. And he was small in the playoffs. Take off money for his performance in the playoffs.

Aldridge was out of his mind as was Lollards. We beat Portland 8 times out of 10. Did parsons guard Aldridge, I don't think so. Straw man.

Ariza isn't a downgrade from Parsons. Parsons is a better offensive player, but Ariza is so much better on defense. That should help out a lot. Remember against Portland, Rox were losing games even scoring 110+, so a few defensive stops from Ariza could change that outcome.

So out of that list above we couldn't find not one quality FA sir?

 

Curry had been injured alot when he took that contract. They were worried about his ankles are something. So you can't necessarily put him in the situation with others. Curry just made a bad financial decision and that may be because he wasn't sure about his health either. Either way GSW got a steal.

We had a steal with Parsons. And if the market is $12-$13 million for Deng, then Parsons isn't necessarily over paid... Regardless of what fans may think he's worth.

Now if you feel that he's not worth the money and not that valuable to the team _ fine... But do you really feel good about losing him for nothing...??? Even if he matches the contract Parsons is practically untradeable because that contract is only for 2 years with a 3rd year player opt. Morey is all about collecting assets for trade and just F'd off one of the most valuable assets he's ever had.

Boozer can knock down that mid range jumper off the pick and roll as well as spot up. He is a decent rebounder as well.

It's all about what fits your team.

 

Some of those guys already signed like young and pierce. Wesley Johnson if we do not bring back parsons and he is cheap. I would also look into okafor who you did not mention. Anderson maybe.

 

The problem with that theory is that Parsons easily outplayed Batum in all but maybe one game of that series. Batum was not a major factor in most of that series as he was completely unable to stop Parsons.

1. What killed the Rockets was the lack of defense against LMA
2. Wesley Mathews defense on James Harden
3. The ability to stop Lillard from hitting 3 point shots.

Unless your saying that we can effectively put Ariza on LMA then I'm not seeing your point.

Makes no sense. Parsons sucks on D and is inconsistent on offense throughout 4 quarters of a game. Ariza is a good defender but may be slightly below what Parsons numbers are on offense but Parsons is better. I hope Rockets match Parsons so we can go to the playoffs and see the difference in Ariza and Parsons when it comes to the big games going against the big time players.
