If Rashard Lewis had signed a 3yr contract at that money with Orlando instead of 6, not a single person today would be laughing that that contract. Gave Orlando some great years and great playoff runs.

Lebron, Melo, Bosh and Love are game changer type players, IMO. Perhaps we differ on definition.

Howard's $100 mill contract was most definitely based on potential.

I can't believe how many of you, as Rockets fans, are underestimating Parsons game and value to this team.
Some of you even seem like you have more of a problem with what he does off court and/or have some insecurities about his appearance. I don't care if CP looked like Sloth from The Goonies, dude can ball. (better than most)

You people with Rose glasses see only upside potential. I also see downside potential. Many players once they get that kind of bank lack effort. Cp with $15m will be hanging out with justin beiber and Johnny manzeil and mayweather.

You can't match Parsons. You just can't have Harden and Parsons as your perimeter players. Neither plays any defense and you have to play some sort of defense to win in the playoffs. Harden is a much more potent offensive player so Parsons should have played or focused more energy on the defensive side. That Blazers series pretty much sealed his fate in my eyes. He couldn't guard Batum or Matthews and missed way too many easy buckets underneath the rim.

You have to have an above average defensive player in your wing position to be able to make noise when it counts and unfortunately, Parsons isn't it.

I know getting a game-changer is a challenge if you are talking about top 5 players like the ones you mentioned, but a Dragic or Ersan would
also be game-changers, especially when combined with the Ariza signing.

At this point I'm talking about aggregation being game-changing. But there are individual players like Milsap, Dragic, rondo, Ersan that would be game-changers for our team.

I think most of us are quite aware of Parsons value. What some are balking at is at what cost his contract will present diminished ability to upgrade in the future.

Because it is the last day to match and they want to keep him. I dont care what happens either way. I think i care too much about screwing the mavs over for the next three years because that is exactly what will happen if we don't match. Dirk can say bye bye to the wcf.

Not sure about king drew though. He still needs to prove himself.

don't have the pieces, or salaries to match.

if the rockets manage to trade for a significant player and that does not mean broke neck anderson his salary has to no more than 8M.

Stephen curry makes $10 million per year. That is value. Just take a look at players who make over 10 million and you will see why we don't think he deserves the max, especially the players in his range.

Also team chemistry is shot. Cp's matched contract will make others mad and resent their own contract. He can't play up to that contract, it's a liability.

I may get season tickets if they don't match. If they match I will just watch on comcast.

You don't pay 15 million to a guy that can't even create his own shot but you have to match. Just trade him a year or two from now.

How is he that much different from Ariza? Ariza might be the better player.
