Lol. Doesn't work like that. Buy low sell high. Loyalty? Really? After jerseygate? It's business my man. Parsons is Houston's favorite son at $900k. He's Lin at $15mil.

You need to understand: we won't have the capspace to give anynone max money anyways. Harden, Howard and Ariza doesn't leave us with more than 10 million. The only way to get a max guy is to trade for him - and for that you need outgoing contracts.

Chemistry on a team is not overrated - that's why a team like the Heat didn't win it all their first year.

List one at least slightly possible guy we could get this year or the next, if we decline Parsons that would make us better, that we can't get with him on the roster.

This isn't Wall St. and besides, even if it was you don't sell shares with that kind of dividend after only 3 years.

    ^^^this!

Dude played for peanuts (nba terms) and still played his ass off.

He deserves to tax fools now and get his money.

Anyone mad about that, or calling him turncoat is an idiot.

    That said...Rox need to match.

You got MAXIMUM effort from a player getting minimum salary and this player never complained.

The piper is here...now it's time.....

    Pay that man!

If not you....you already know someone else will.

    It's not a bad contract.

It's pricey, but CP paid his dues and earned every dollar he's about to make....on the Rox or not.

He's good enough to be an all-star one day.

    Just pay that man.

Rox skated along making him wait for the payday...and he still gave max effort despite that.

Just match and keep it moving.

You need people to stay to develop chemistry. There is barely anybody left from a couple of years ago.

Waiting for the next move that will make me excited about matching. Ariza was a solid signing, but. It's not the game-changer we need to stretch for Parsons.

There is no game changer left at this point. We can get incrementally better sifting through 2nd and 3rd tier available players. But that is all.

This reminds me of the Orlando Rashard Lewis contract or the Juwan Howard contract. Parsons is solid, just like those two, but he'll never be a max-level worthy star like the contract suggests. Fortunately, its only three years, unlike Howard and Lewis. I'm pretty much neutral on matching at this point.

You have to match, otherwise, what does this say for the team going forward? Dwight and harden cannot be happy about this.

You have to keep them happy or they might leave. Howard has two years left before he can opt out.

We already knew who ras hard lewis and juwon howard were when they signed those deals. With parsons, the potential element is still present.

free agency next year looks a complete fizzer. they have two trade deadlines to deal parsons contract in time for the durantula sweepstakes.

morey has said in the past full mle signings tend to be busts with ariza being his own example of that.

Parsons is turning 26 this year. We already know what kind of player he is, he's not going to get better.

I refuse to believe that. There are trade options.
