King and Prokhorov made some of the most short-sighted moves in history. Basically gave up their whole future for vets that were way beyond their prime and didn't make me a sure fire contender.

Have fun not making the 2nd round in the East and having no significant picks or youngsters.

I wonder if we could've gotten him for the same amount? I haven't really seen Pierce play last season though he might be done.

Was he considered a possible candidate here at all?

I never saw his name mentioned (much) as a possible Rocket.

But he'd have been a v good guy to have on the bench.

Yes he had serious interest according to Feigen, but that was probably in case Bosh came here.

One of the rare times you will find truth in Washington.

    Billy King hard at work.

Is it just me or does Kidd's power play and departure remind anyone else of an animal gnawing off its own leg to escape a bear trap?

I would consider doing some pretty crazy things to stop Billy King from running the show if I was the Head Coach on the Nets...

Pierce is pretty much done at this point. He wont replace Arizas production. The Nets losing him makes their dumb trade even dumber.

Yeah, Nets, Washington and Pierce all come out of this dumber IMO.
