Brazil is just not that good.

Pretty sure the USA would whip em.

Great gesture there by RVP.. Giving the captain armband to the fan, from captain to captain.

If players who perform in the WC get ridiculous offers from teams, players who don't should be paid less. Case in point: The whole Brazilian team.

Marcello, a guaranteed yellow card for RM barely made a dent. He barely made an effort to foul, much less actually playing the game. Maybe Scolari is just that bad. Milk Hair would have done a better job coaching that team.

Good performance from the Dutch team. I'm proud of these guys, they give 100% each and every match. They managed to outclass Brazil, which despite the weaknesses of the home side is still an excellent achievement. They got the bronze, something we should have managed to get in 1998.

I'm interested to see how tomorrow pans out. Argentina won't be giving anything away like Brazil does. Today confirmed to me that Brazil's defence is like goat's cheese (nonsensical funny Cruyff expression in case you didn't know). They just don't know what they're doing. I'm curious to see how Germany is going to dismantle it. Low better now play Per or Lavezzi and Messi will take advantage.

Sorry man but I forget, i thought it was you or arno that didn't care for the 3rd place match. Was it arno??

I think LVG should have given Krul the start in goal for this match (and then subbed in Vorm like he did).
Also, shame on him for starting Robben, RVP(and preparing to start Sneijder) against this weak, poor, sad, shambolic Brazilian team.
How will Van Gaal and his players sleep knowing what they just did to Brazil?? (Depriving them of a sought after 3rd place finish).

    Shame.

Argentina will be a very tough nut to crack, but I am somewhat hopeful. They have dangerous weapons with Messi, di Maria, Lavezzi, Higuain, Aguero, and Mascherano is playing at his best ever. Garay is a tough defender, and so is Micho - but I think we have some ideas how we can attack them. We just have to play disciplined. If they go up, it will be quite tough to get back (same is true the other way around, though). Could end up being one of those 1-0 matches or even go to penalties.

Germany has been playing well but I think if one thing today's game showed is that Brazil is that bad. I think it will be a close game as Argentina defense has been playing surprisingly well.

Germany has been playing Tiki-Taka on steroids, so, playing them blow for blow would be suicidal (See Brazil game). The best way to play against this style is what Mou first did with Inter back in 2010 against Barca, a compact line with 100% concentration on defense and then hope for some counters. Also, Messi needs to show-up for Argentina to have a chance.
I expect a very tactical match-up and low scoring affair, should be exciting.

That's fake. The words don't match the news anchor's mouth. Also, the North Korean accent is very distinct. This is a South Korean accent.

Rio is going crazy. A lot of the Argentinians slept in their cars. They have been making a hell of a lot of noise on the Copacabana since at least 6 a.m. (when I woke up). The city is so busy. I hope everything stays safe. No bigger stage than this, unfortunately also for people with bad intentions.

ATW are you going to the final match?

What a trip, by the way! It's really the experience of a lifetime to be able to make the trip and also at the same time as when your team is performing so well....especially in a tournament that only happens once every 4 years, injuries, golden generations from other teams, etc.

That was me. But if we have to play this stupid game i do want us to win :). If fifa want the teams to take this game serious thay should also take this game serious and actually use a ref that is atleast acceptable..

This was one of the worst refs i have seen during this tournament. On top of that brazil really showed its colors during this game. During the colombia game you could argue that colombia played just as dirty. But especially in the second half many players from brazil played really dirty and tried to injure out players. The last 3 games if brazil were pathetic. I feel for the brazilian fans.

Germany (atw and yung-t) good luck tonight.

Funny how we are about to tear down the Astrodome and the World Cup Final will be played in the legendary Maracana.
