While I wouldn't want to match Parsons just to screw over Cuban...

    It sure would be funny!

Wonder how Cuban is feeling? That's what he gets for being a dick!

Miami is gonna be good, given how terrible the east is I can even see them winning a series.

But talk about accepting mediocrity, they can't sniff a title with this core, and Bosh is going to be obscenely overpaid moving forward. Riley got desperate and made a stupid decision.

They are going to get worked on their front line. They are too old to be a run and gun team. .500 team at best.

After losing LeBron James to the Cleveland Cavaliers, the Miami Heat's discussions to secure free agent forward Luol Deng on a two-year, nearly $20 million contract will continue on Sunday, league sources told Yahoo Sports.

Heat president Pat Riley and Deng's agent Ron Shade had talks on Saturday and plan to reconnect on Sunday morning.

Miami is competing with several teams, including Atlanta and Dallas, to sign Deng.

Deng, 29, would deliver the Heat a tough-minded, defensive-first forward with a versatile offensive game to complement Chris Bosh on the frontline.

Between Chicago and Cleveland, Deng averaged 16 points and 5.7 rebounds last season.

Would be super awesome to flip the script on Cuban by not only matching but also picking up Ariza.

They could be. Every East playoff contender has this "depending on someone's health" tag (except maybe the Pacers, Bobcats and Pistons, they are relatively healthy).

    It's hard to predict.

But they look like a pretty talented team to me.

I wonder if LeBron has already finalized his signing. If the Heat could still do a LeBron-Deng sign and trade with Miami, that would give them a trade exception and more room to add a point guard.

If Miami makes it out of the East, they would have a 100% chance of being swept and annihilated by any West team.

    Order of priority for Miami:
    1. Retain Lebron for the max
    2. Retain Wade on contract friendly deal
    3. Offer Melo semi max and chance to play with redeem team friends
    4. Keep Haslem on vet min
    5. Resign Allen on vet min
    6. Resign Bosh on contract friendly deal

    What happened:
    1. Lose Lebron
    2. Melo out of running
    3. Resign Bosh for Max
    4. 18 mil in cap space
    5. get Deng

I get that Miami doesnt have its pick next year, but goodness gracious why totally handicap your future.

It's funny that you think Bosh and Wade actually care. They already have more rings than almost anyone else. I'm sure living in Miami with a nice salary will comfort them nicely.

If I was a Miami fan, I'd be pleased. There's nothing more painful than going from 4 finals in a row to tanking within a month. They would've likely lost Wade as well.

I'd rather hake a solid 40-50 wins team for a few years, let Wade retire on a competitive Heat team. In a couple years Bosh salary won't look so bad because of the 80 mil+ cap and 90 mil+ tax line. Well, maybe it will still look bad, but they'll have enough cap room to add a lot of talent, and they are a desirable destination.

Is it the smartest plan? Maybe not. Maybe they should've done a Hinkie. But it shows much more self respect than Hinking after all that success.

They have almost no chance to make it out of the East, it would take some incredible injury bug for other teams. But if it happened, that would be a fantastic story regardless of what happens in the Finals.

Yeah, I don't get it, why not wait? Maybe this isn't a reliable report yet? Maybe they are "working to finalize" it like the Bosh and Houston worked to finalize?

Perhaps Deng sees MIA as stronger than DAL.

Maybe. I guess he could also see his chances of making the All Star game as stronger in the East and in Miami. Wade is likely miss a lot of games and Deng will get a bigger scoring role. Good numbers and another all star appearance could help him get a big deal in 2016.
