Exactly, which is why some think that the Suns might be willing to move either Dragic or Bledsoe. We'll see! I'd be happy to snag either one of them.
Perception. How would you feel if instead of signing Ariza, we signed a 3 and D SG for 4 million to back up Harden? Then signed a 3 and D SF for 4 million to backup Parsons? That's basically what Ariza is, a athletic, long, veteran who can play defense and hit the 3. He will be (most likely) backing up Harden and Parsons, giving us an amazing 3 man rotation at the SF and SG position. No more Harden and Parsons playing 40 minutes a night, we will have 48 minutes of quality play at both the SF and SG position. Great signing by Morey, completely solves our wing depth and perimeter defensive problems Harden(33), Ariza(15) Parsons(33).Ariza(15) 33 minutes for both Harden and Parsons, Ariza gets 30 minutes as our 6th man.
The Asik trade will be completed in some form of the original trade or a 3 team trade come Monday. I think a couple of people NO wants to include can not be traded until Monday.
Dragic is a pipe dram for me, i'd be really excited about a Anderson/Ilyasova trade or even a Ed Davis sign and trade.
when its all said and done, he tied up his cap space and wasn't able to sign VC . VC walked for 3 years / $12 mil with the last year 2 mil guaranteed. Dal only has 2.7m of space until this offer sheet goes through. VC was basically the whole mavs bench last year.
id be excited about a decent backup PG..or getting dragic and moving bev back to back up.... birdman at C and or some PF upgrade..
Weak, so we cant use the cap space? How were we ever going to sign bosh? I am guessing the rockets can force them to do it sooner for extra $$$?
I'll be happy with sticking it to Cuban too by signing Parsons. Hopefully someone will get desperate and give Marion a nice contract for 2 years. Mavs just lost Carter, who by the way is going to be a big blow for them when the season starts. Morey signed Ariza for depth but it was also to take a backup plan away from Dallas too if Houston choose to match Chandler. Good luck making the playoffs next year Cuban.
The only person Cuban really hurts is Leslie Alexander who has to pay more tax. Ultimately the move may hurt him more than it hurts us.
If the Rockets get the same Ariza as last season, sounds like a plan and I hope it happens. However, if the Ariza from the prior 3 years shows up, he won't be worthy of 30 mins/game on a team that wants to contend. Besides, Harden will still play ~38 mins/game this coming season.
I'm guessing if Bosh really committed they would have pushed through so it was completed by Sunday 1159pm. But now since Bosh is off the table and they had that TPE from the Lin trade..they were just like lets take time on this Asik trade to consummate because have Lin space to sign Ariza into..that's my thinking.
whats up buddy? hadn't seen you around since playoffs! I think people speculating looking at rosters given new additions..ie Suns have dragic Bledsoe and Isaiah Thomas at the PG spots. so people say ok dragic may be on the block even though Thomas may just be the 6th man speculation like that...then there is the Josh Smith sucked last year so Pistons want to unload him since they got the new regime there.. or Ilysova sucked last year..so can be bought on the cheap.. examples..
