Ok the Rockets still need to sign someone else with the other 8 million! Then you match Parsons.

Morey should leak we won't match so Mav's stop negotiating with other guys, then slide in at 10:59

They cant sing anybody else once they sign him, i think. The only reason the Rockets are taking this long is because we will keep him in my opinion.

Agreed. Wait til the last minute to actually match, but make sure to hang onto the guy. Ariza cannot replace Parsons' production. And if you keep Parsons, that's a lot of depth the Rockets have going into next season:

    Howard
    T-Jones/D-Mo
    Parsons/Ariza
    Harden/Daniels
    Beverley/Canaan/Johnson

All we need now is a backup for the 5 and 4 spots and maybe a veteran point guard as insurance. That's a damn good lineup. I actually would much rather have a ton of quality depth than an unmotivated Chris Bosh taking up 22 mil in capspace.

Honestly if you don't sign one more piece and then match parsons then this offseason WILL be a failure.

Miss on Bosh and Melo fine, but adding depth along with Parsons is a perfectly good alternative.

A disaster would be losing Parsons and just signing Ariza because he's cheaper.

    The window is STILL now.

    MOAR DEPTH

Morey needs all the time he can get to pull off a deal to land us one more piece. Then we match Parsons at the 11th hour. Rondo and Bledsoe would require moving jones and DMo and it's not clear we have enough assets to get either. But ?Dragic seems like a more realistic option. As does Ersan.

    Go get em Morey!

Milwaukee was looking to get a late first for Ersan before the draft.

Dragic coming off his borderline Allstar season will be harder to get than rondo in my option,

Didn't want to make another thread for it and this is Mavs related:

Does anybody have the lowdown on this "trade kicker"?

I know its 15% (the max) and adds to Parsons salary each year for the remainder of the contract. Beyond that, I don't know much like....who pays it (trading team or receiving team), does it count against the cap, can the player opt out of it if he wants?

These questions and other details that can be shared would be gratefully appreciated.

(Yes, I understand that this information might not be released. Just hoping someone has seen it)
