Since this is coming out of Dallas... Cuban is F'n with Les Alexander and trying to make him prove he's not cheap and swallow Parsons poison pill type contract.

Is that why he left town and moved to Dallas?

I look at it like Cuban saying "uh so you're going to match, right? RIGHT?! Please hurry, I don't want this contract!"

He'd come off the bench back up C/PF, solid upgrade over DMo:p.

He could actually collect the rebounds while Dwight shuts down LMA.

When Les pays CP I'd don't want to read on this board anymore that Les is cheap. You guys got your facts all wrong. He has spent big money from day 1. By far the best owner we've ever had.

If this is a straight up signing? We lose all our exceptions and have a little over $5mil in capspace.. If this is a S&T, which I strongly suspect it will be by making it part of a 3-team deal with Pelicans for Asik, then we keep MLE and BAE. In addition to Lin's $8.3mil trade exception.

Though keep in mind that by doing a S&T, the Rockets will be hard capped at $80.8mil. Assuming they match Parsons, they'll have roughly $15mil left to spend. Though in reality it's more like maybe $12mil, since you want a little bit left over for mid-season signings and such.

Yep. He was still an elite defender last season.

Yeah, John Wall's ability to attack basket really created a lot of open 3 opportunities for Ariza last season. Ariza should have a somewhat similar opportunity in Houston as well.

I don' know, I've never been impressed by him. I would much rather have Shawn Marion.

Being that Daniels is a restricted free agent, i believe we can go over the cap, so need to worry.

$8mil/yr is what Chandler Parsons worth. If they matched Parsons...they're screwed for the future.

We have a pretty good squad if we match parsons and sign Ariza. We'd be able to match up with the Spurs when they go small. We just need a big now. Please any big. Just grab a guy that's taller than 6'8 and weighs at least 230.

Can someone explain how minutes will work if we are paying Parsons 15 and Trevor 8? Aren't they both SF?
