I am of the opinion that we need to sign SOMEONE talented with our capspace, regardless of the fit/need and subsequently resign Parsons. You can always trade them later.

Sign Ariza for 11 million, Sign Marion for 5 million (to dick over Cuban) and then resign Parsons. Pick up Brooks and Okafor for min deals afterward.

    Beverley / Brooks / Cannan
    Harden / Parsons
    Ariza / Marion
    Jones / Dmo
    Howard / Okafor

That is a better team than last year.

Fixed it for you, Parsons is way to slow to play backup SG, Marion would have to be strictly a PF with Parsons and Ariza taking all the minutes at SF.

I agree although I have zero interest in Ariza. Marion would be a good fit.

You can possibly get Stephenson for 12-13 million..

    Too little too late.

Don't see anyone left worth the cap space that cost a 1st and 2nd and a valuable rotation player. Call him whatever you want but he was part of the rotation in a big way.

He could have been kept for trades at deadline or at least not force Rockets to look for backup PG. Canaan is not ready. Likely not cost a pick either.

Yeah those Aces where not better than $118 million full house......

The only thing that would make this off season a complete disaster is letting Parson walk! Dwight Howard isn't getting any younger. Rockets are trying to win now. We need to sign whatever free agents we can, match Parsons and roll with that group!

    Down to

    Rondo
    Love

    possibly
    Bledsoe or Dragic
    Gibson

The main thing right now is the countdown on that offer sheet...

We can go over the cap to match that offer sheet so if Leslie puts his money where his mouth is, just offer a max or near max contract to some1 else. Why not???

Because of his antics? That guy is 23 years old, he should mature at least a little, especially after moving to another city. Dwight is serious about winning and Chandler is a glue guy, he should improve some in that aspect.

Other than that, I can't see a reason why not. He is a great playmaker that can play PG, SG or SF. He is a better than advertised spot up shooter, he is clutch and a plus defender. Plus he got that attitude and drive that only Beverly has on our team. Together they could get really infectious. I think of him as a younger Artest.

Right now we have to look at the best player we could possible get before we have to match Parsons. Bledsoe is at the top of my list - but he is a RFA, so he's out. Deng might be next, but he is old and strictly a SF. Stephenson is next in line. He is young, talented as hell and can play 3 positions for us - plus he has playoff experience. And I don't think it would cost us 13 million per year. 11 million should be enough.

In my opinion clearly the best option out there. Unfortunately there is no great PF left... After that sign Okafor for the minimum...

Exactly! Lance is also worth the risk, if he doesn't pan out, you can always trade him..time to show some balls and go after a guy with toughness and that edge!

    Let Parsons walk

Sign Bledsoe to max to near max deal - make the Suns pay for him or he fills a need here (up and coming 3rd star)

If Blatche is still out there in 3 days - nice fit

    small trades
    DMo and NOH pick
    for
    Young, McDainles and Grant

    call up Covington

    Bledsoe / Bev / Lull / Johnson
    Harden / Lull / Johnson
Young out of position or someone takes it (Covington, Papa or McDainles)
    Jones / Capple / Blatche
    Howard / Blatche

Need a good coach to make this work (KMH was a wonderful player & good person)

If we're gonna offer Ariza 10-12m money, I'd rather sign Stephenson. 3 yr/36m with a 3rd yr tm option to keep flexibility. That contract isn't too bad and he has talent, so if he flames out, we have a trading asset (maybe for Love?). Sign Marion and Birdman/Okafor, match Parsons.

    Go to war with:
    Bev/Stephenson/Johnson or Canaan
    Harden/Stephenson/Daniels
    Parsons/Stephenson/Garcia
    Jones/Marion/D-Mo
    Dwight/Birdman or Okafor

Anybody believes Morey will surprise us before late tomorrow night with a guy we haven't considered but is very good and then match Parsons?! Then finally, Leslie has shown willingness to pay, because for all his talk, he hasn't gone into luxury tax when we had Yao & Tracy which also cost us a chance at a championship. Those role players in 05-09 were not the greatest..

Who do you hope that the Rockets target now?

I hope that the Rockets target Paul Pierce and Eric Bledsoe, but I have no idea if the Rockets could afford both.

Who do y'all hope we target?

Paul Pierce, Mo Williams, Jeryd Bayless, Caron Butler, Mike Miller, Shawn Marion, Wes Johnson, Okafor.

    We need a bench.

Count me in for Stephenson as well. With him our 1-3 rotation would be set, we'd add toughness and emotion and defense.

Bledsoe would be great as well, I just don't think we could get him.

Deng would be next in line for me, then Monroe, then Ariza. Oh and I want Okafor for the minimum after we've finished all our signings.
