if we would go ahead and sign Shawn Marion before matching Parsons contract then that would further screw Dallas. Actually, I would consider DeJuan Blair as well, both he and Marion are very good player. Marion would be very good guarding someone like LMA also.

Is it legal to ask Dallas to trade a first pick for a second pick on the condition the Rockets don't match?

I wouldnt mind keeping Chandler if we can swing for another piece or two. Getting Illyasova and Pachula using the TPEs would be nice.

No. That's illegal. However (wink wink) Dallas could give us their 2015 first for Covington and a future second rounder.

But...you know what that amounts to?

Lin costing us Parsons, Covington, and a second rounder to get him out of town. Still not worth it.

I'm not sold on Covington. I get the feeling he might be another Marcus Fizer. D-League hero, NBA zero.

I'm just looking at the Pau-Bulls situation right now. They're $7.2M over the cap. Where are they getting cap room for Gasol & Mirotic? If Boozer is the necessary salary dump the Rockets don't have the cap room to include Gibson as the deal sweetener.

How did you work this out?

I thought it cost us a 1st rounder?

    Interesting:

Who you prefer Chandler Parsons or Trevor Ariza?

This is a hard choice but I'm leaning toward Trevor Ariza mainly because of his defense.

No really. I doubt Chandler will live up to his 15 million, that would be Wade or Bosh level on the Heat.

It is just not possible, you have to trade him if you are stuck with him, there are always cheaper and younger versions.

    You swing for rising stars.

Chandler did not take us to the second round therefore contract not well earned. Stars are born in the playoffs. He scored one and let Lillard open.

I prefer the Parsons that was still on his rookie contract.

Neither did Howard and Harden and you putting it on Parsons. Lol... Parsons gonna pull a "Dragic" in Dallas. It's inevitable.

    you don't know that.

the team had expectations of making it to the wcf, and now we potentially get worse, and you say we will make it farther.

    doubt it.

    we have to keep parsons.

He's worth the money. But if Morey didn't want to pay him he should have traded him. Isn't that his purpose for collecting "assets"...??? Morey is getting laughed at big time right now...
