Everything will be fine. Houston will get one more win in the regular season and the playoff. That means a 3-4 first round exit probably. Think why no big name is interested to come and team up with Howard and Harden to form Big3 in Houston.

Bitter Lin fan? I've been on this board years before Jeremy Lin even made a name in Harvard.

I live in Houston, and want to see the Rockets succeed but the bottom line is, why would Dwight stay if this team doesn't put itself in a position to be title contenders??

I'm trying to give these delusional fans a sense of reality. The team swung and missed on Melo/BOsh and had to settle for losing Lin and Asik for nothing (the 2 1st round picks canceling each other out) and possibly Chandler Parsons too as well.

And the bright spot people want to point to is a 2nd round pick?? Get real, it's not me being negative, when it comes to title building, today was a major step backwards.

This team, just based on growth and chemistry will be better than they were last year. This offseason isn't over and all we can do now is wait and sit. Thanks for being optimistic.

Truth is, Howard and Harden should be enough to win a title. Asik would not make the difference. Lin was capable of being a third wheel, but inconsistent. Both are replaceable. What we need are the draft picks to step up and fill gaps. Generally Athletic types can do this. We have a few of those.

Is it financially possible for us to keep Parsons and essentially replace Lin/Asik with Nick Johnson and Clint Capela? I could settle for that and hope they develop.

    Agree.

Howard and Haden have to raise the bar. The rest of the roster needs to be system specialists and prospects for that 3rd wheel role. Grow and develop the talent in house.

The Rockets are in great shape. They have 2 top players. Now it is about being a great team.

What's the point when you have a clueless incompetent muppet in McHale in charge of this young team. Whatever hopes we have, McHale will crash them. Milk hair has to go

I think more players are aware of "Moreyball", and realizing the gimmick that it is..... And I think McHale sticking around may have raised some questions as well......

I think the Rockets must change its philosophy in order to become attractive to more FAs. Toss "Moreyball" out the window. And maybe bring in coaches who preach movement and screening off the ball. This was painful team to watch offensively, the players were standing around way too much.

A critical aspect for the Rox is how much Harden works on the holes of his game, that is footwork on defense and his right hand on offense. I still think Harden is capable of playing at the Kevin Durant level or Kobe Bryant level. He just needs to work on his weaknesses.

The two other critical items is keeping Dwight healthy and Beverley improving offensively. With the loss of Lin and Parsons, this team still has a lot of its firepower remaining, just needs to retool.

All 3 of played their role to help the rockets to the playoffs..I wonder what JLin did to you guys?
